Maybe this pilot knows human culture throws the Zentradi offguard, so he's got a picture of a woman in his cockpit to give them a scare
Maybe the symbol is Zentradi for "I kiss females!"

Yeah, it´s the animators having fun. I just dont know how could I miss that the hundreds of times I have seen the series before, and yes, it is a poster.
Is "sex" supposed to be the pilot´s nickname, and what is that symbol?

I'm really starting to think that the devs gave up on this.
I guess my Homeworld 2 game is going to be gathering extra dust now...
What the other team mates tell me is that we need coders, we are just a bunch of 3D artists with not much knowledge on how to actually "mod" the game, so any help is welcome.

To answer you briscojr84: Four OCTOS are seen underwater attacking the mayan village, then a total of six are seen in amphibious mode on the mayan beach, being this the maximum number of OCTOS on a single scene.

I'm usually barried in the modeling section and just asaw this. This is a cool thread. Great work on the CGI modeling. It'd almost be fun to modify a kit and make it look like these! It's late, but I think the reactors look like just like the anti-grav units on the SDF-1. - MT
If you mean a scale model kit I would suggest to use a nimitz hull, but the diferences in placement of the elevators would require to build a whole new flightdeck. It would also be interesing to see the Asuka model being built by the chinese modeler newca mentioned some time ago, too bad I dont know chinese.
Is almost surreal how the OT generators debate almost completely replaced the whole Asuka CVBG theme, is not that I am complaining, since it gave life to this thread, but I would like some help on the carrier´s exterior, specially since the official macross zero site seems to be without a webmaster to repair the link on the Asuka´s description.
Please keep the comments coming.

Want to do a South Antaria Island scene as well. However, there are many other things would like to build first. Found that landscape scenery is by far the most difficult to create. Very tedious and time consuming. Have one picture of South Antaria Island.
That picture of south ataria is great for reference and maybe with a good terrain editor something nice could be done, the only problem I see are the buildings, since there are no specifics for them except for the docks and the airbase.
I have experimented with terrains before and I may be able to produce something if I get a hold on a top view or maybe a heightmap.
Tell me more about your current plans, I may be able to collaborate somehow.

You are welcome Stratagos. I am currently doing models for the DYRL mod for Homeworld 2, but as a personal project I have started some macross zero models, hopefully to be used in flight sims or something.
Your Macross city model is really nice, I think no one has done something like that before, I once though about doing a south ataria scenery for operation flashpoint, but lacked the sources.

You have some really nice looking models there. I use 3D MAX for mine, but I am for sure ignorant when it comes to texturing, it would be nice if we could do some work together.

Some time ago newca posted a link about a chinese modeller wanting to make a scale model of the asuka, following the link to the chinese forum I found this picture of what appears to be the original CG model.
For some reason the official macros zero site has an error in the asuka entry, wich it tries to load eternally with no pictures displayed, the site had that problem long before I started my research on the asuka, so I have never seen the official renders of the ship, nonetheless I managed to use the pic in the chinese forum to correct the stern of my own asuka. and this are the results.
If someone has the pics in hi-res please share them with me
I still need to correct the possition of the starboard-aft phalanx and the protruding port-aft sensors, also to find out the fire control radar of the seasparrow launcher.

Thanks mate. I think the next step to take with my models would be to find someone who can photoshop better than me to help me with textures and possibly search for a good game engine to give the ships a try.

This may be a little off topic, but definetly concerns the pilot ranking.
In DYRL Hikaru was an ensign, don´t you have to be a liutenant to get a plane? also Roy was a Major, a rank that does not exist in a navy, but is the equivalent of commander wich does exist in a navy. Taking into account that the UN Spacy seems to have Naval ranking, Admiral being the top rank excluding general, shouldn´t Roy be a commander?.
If my memory does not fail me, Roy was called commander in some subtitles I have seen.

Creating a mayan island scenery would be hard without a heightmap for the terreain or at least some type of map, but not impossible I hope.
Your female model is looking great so far, I must confess I am very bad at creating such organic shapes. Keep up the good work
