I have to say that it is a bit satisfying to watch Shizuka come around to the chunky monkey. At least your interest is piqued. I guess I just find that interesting given your affinity for the modern valks, not unexpected of course because of your age. But all the more satisfying to watch. IMHO the chunky monkey still stands as a preeminent achievement in toy making, and a must have for any serious macross collector.
It's hard not to look at something so pretty and not want to have one.
Some women would get jealous with how some guys look at them chunkies..

Trying to learn transformers from michael bay is like trying to learn about vampires from twillight....

Nope. Not a joke. I have never had any interest in the Transformers movies.
I'm 26. I think I was about 14 or 15 when the first Transformers movie came out. Did not appeal to me back then. Still doesn't today.
Ahhh ok bc this is before those.... i don't think of them as transformers.
We are talking about the 1980's cartoon transformers. Jetfire from the cartoon got a macross jet as a toy instead of an actual toy that looked like it.

?????? Uhhh..... ooookay.... If you say so.
Transformer? Ahh, that's why... I never saw any of those Mark Wahlberg movies.
Uhh i hope that was a bad joke.
How old are you?

Is that a DYRL chunky monkey on the right side... with yellowing plastic?
I'm kinda surprised that someone from mw forums don't know jetfire.
Alot of guys here have bought old jetfires for the main purpose of converting them mainly bc old jetfires are cheap.
I actually bought that one for 30 bucks, not going to do anything to him just glad the shop here sales them for cheap.

It's the g1 jetfire. You can pick them up cheap unless its it's a matsushoro (sp).
There are two more at the comic shop i go to that has all the armor, but not the greatest shape for about 70.

Seeing if someone has parts to the 1/35 scott alpha.
I bought one that has a broken left knee and i want to replace it.
Any hrlp is appreciated.

The plastic ones are wayyyy to fragile. Guess the vf-4 will be my first and i will see how it goes.

My Hikaru fell off of a shelf from 7ft high and handled it like a boss. My 4yr old daughter is kinda rough on them (well supervised of course), and they certainly don't seem too delicate. I'm a big fan of these, but then I haven't had them for very long. I do play with them on the regular though, maybe once a week give or take.
They aren't magical and now they don't fly... 2 things i have to scratch off of why to get.

Hey just got back to collecting. I want to get the vf-4, but been wondering how do the hi metals stand up?
Are they made well? To they feel plasticky?

Getting back to collecting again and looking to see if someone is selling or if someone knows where to find a 1/55 super ostrich or elintseeker.
They don't have yo be perfect or in box.
I used to post here before under fairchild 22 way back when before my life kinda had a turn. I remembered how people were here so i decided to come here and see about some help locating.
