Any significant price increase would be to pay for licensing. Another factor in pricing is "layering". Companies like Bandai pay sub contractors to do design work and manufacturing (sometimes). That costs more than a company like Moshow that is doing their design work and production in house. My company competes in an industry made up of only big players (aside from me). Because I do all of my own design work, everything is made in house and I only sell customer direct I can put out a much better product for the same or less money than the competition.

If they make their own designs and produce them in house they should be able to keep prices down.

Thanx for the insight.... Hopefully this gives them the traction they need to get their name out big time.

wow ok. I mean cool and all but are they just going to now over use the one frame and add pointy stuff to it. I guess gone are the days of slightly modified frames from UC and other series lol ugh

I guess you could say that. Also they trying build their own ip and designs...so i guess it would be a good way to churnout collectibles and save on molds...hopefully it keeps the prices down...i'd defo bite

The domestic shipping cost often depends on the relative distance between seller and buyer, as well as what specific service is requested by the buyer.  Shipping is commonly calculated after the auction is concluded.

Thank you Tekring....from what i read in thread it seems some sellers included shipping cost to proxy warehouse, but i didn't factor additional service cost.

without the size and weight of what you are trying to get or from who.........:pardon:............ you can estimate it to be 700 yen to 2000 yen domestic shipping. B))

2000y domestic shipping...jeez.....this can add up real quick and this is after the bid lol.

    Thank You F360

Without getting into whichever proxy you use & different fee structures, whether Buyee, From Japan, Zenmarket etc, there are normally 3 things I watch out for on Yahoo Japan Auctions itself:

    1. Whether if seller is an individual or corporation. For corporations, there is a 10% local consumption tax on top of the bid price.

    2. Whether if the seller details out the local shipping costs. Most reputable ones do, so do note where the proxy warehouse is located to know how much is the local shipping. At same time, a fair number of sellers do not list out the local shipping costs; perhaps just mentioning the local courier service name. This is where it can get slightly tricky because there are cases of sellers who charge an obviously exorbitant shipping fee independent of the actual shipping fee, perhaps wanting to make up for a low auction closing price, and there is nothing the proxy can do about it. In these auctions where shipping fee structure are not thoroughly specified, then I would pay more attention to the next item:

    3. The sellers' rating. I read somewhere before in these forums that sellers' ratings work a bit differently in YJA, in that the seller can actually delete negative comments by buyers, which is quite a big deal. But it appears that most sellers in Japan have better sense of ingrained integrity than the rest of the world, ie eBay, so at end of day the ratings in YJA are more trustable compared to eBay.

These above guidelines  have served me quite well on the occasional items bought off YJA over the past 2-3 years..

I'm interested in a item YJ but i did not see anywhere on the page the local shipping cost...it did have taxes included just below the buy out price.

    help please:)
