Wow, I just noticed what's going on here guys. Not only has there been a problem with the Kairos order, but I placed another order for 2 items that are in stock at NY and that order has been stuck at "preparing order" since last Thursday. Then today, I went to go pick up the contact lenses that I ordered the week before last (which took much longer to get here than usual) and they were the wrong prescription. Then it dawned on me. Mercury must be in retrograde! So I checked and surely enough, Mercury has been in retrograde since March 22 (2 days before supposed Kairos release) and will continue to be in retrograde until April 15. It's crazy how much astrology really does influence our lives without us even knowing it. Anyway, hopefully this starts clearing up well before the 15th. Maybe we need to start giving offerings to Mercury and Hermes.

Well, just spoke with NY again. They assured me that my Kairos order will be shipped out this week, so I hope they keep their word.

Hey guys, I just called NY. They said that they were slow on getting their stock of the Kairos. They are still in the process of acquiring them, but they're sending them out as fast as they can get them. So that's what the delay is all about. I think we all pretty much knew that already, but it's good to hear it from them directly. I just hope that they can get as many as they took orders for.

Good to hear cdj is starting to show movement. NY is about to open so hopefully we'll see some movement with them as well, though I'm not getting my hopes up by any means.

NY has disappointed yet again. I contacted them yesterday through their online chat to inquire about the status of my order and all I got from them was the usual "Once your order has been prepared and shipped you will be sent a confirmation e-mail" crap. Oh well, I had a feeling this was going to happen again. I'm not surprised.

Ok, FINALLY dispatched from outward office at 09/13 05:00 JST after sitting at "Posting/Collection" since 09/11 21:00. I'm relieved that everything is finally moving forward, but it is strange for EMS to take almost 40 hours from receipt of package to leave Japan. I wonder if Irma had anything to do with it. I doubt it because EMS usually ships directly to New York first, but who knows.

Yeah, thanks for the tip. I learned that the hard way this time around. Normally I do the conversion in Paypal I think (or maybe just pay directly in yen, I can't remember for sure).

Yeah, that was the price at HLJ. The price at NY was ~21500, so about 10 dollars more as far as pure currency exchange rates go. Then EMS shipping was $33.80 at HLJ and I payed $45 at NY. I probably did screw up by having NY do the currency conversion, instead of either paying in yen or converting through paypal. Hmm, that actually may mean that there is hope. Maybe EMS is behind on their updates vs. SAL. Or it could mean that I'm even more screwed lol. Thanks for the info man. I just was really looking forward to my first VF-31.

My bad, I meant to say $30 not $40. I payed $207 for the valk itself, then $45 for EMS shipping, for a total of $252. This is really disconcerting. I already contacted NY during business hours yesterday and they said to wait for the tracking website to update (of course). They also said they would contact Japan Post if shipping took too long. Well from my experience, and from your example, it has already taken too long. When did EMS show yours dispatching from outward office?

Has anyone's order from NY left Japan yet? My order shipped 9/11 at 10am JST. It is now 9/13 4am JST, getting close to 2 full days after receiving tracking number, and EMS' website still has status as "Posting/Collection". This may be my last order from NY. Not only did I pay close to 40 dollars more than HLJ, but now shipping issues? This is starting to really piss me off.

Lol, I guess this headache is really getting to me : ( I meant NON-forward swept wings of course! EDIT: I agree on the paint scheme. It has that real-life fighter plane feel to it. Wow HLJ is quick... Now I'm really starting to hate myself for not buying from them.

I don't normally care much for the mass production versions of valks, but I have to admit the VF-31A with its sleek forward-swept wing design is a totally different story. Its uniqueness makes it very desirable.

I appreciate the feedback on HLJ. Definitely going to put them at a higher priority for future purchases. In hindsight I should have waited and purchased from them, but I was pretty psyched to pick up the -31c and jumped on the second NY opening last night even though it was more expensive. Oh well, now the waiting begins...

Interesting. I've never ordered from HLJ before. How do they rate compared to NY and Ami as far as order processing/shipping speed and customer service?

It probably doesn't matter anyway, since I'm guessing NY will probably take a couple days to process the order before shipping it.

Wish I had known how widely available this version was going to be. I could've saved about 3,500 yen. Oh well, I think it's still worth the extra money.

Hey everyone, first post on MW. I just missed out on the original NY price last night (damn it!), so I immediately purchased from them at the marked-up price for a total of 250 US dollars including 45 dollars for EMS shipping. I wish I had known that HLJ would have such a low price on these today. I can't cancel my order at NY without going through Pay pal and pissing them off in the process, so I was thinking of buying a second -31c from HLJ for over 30 dollars cheaper than the NY price and then selling one down the road when the prices start to rise. Do you guys think it's worth the effort or should I just cut my losses?
