The top one I got a few years ago, so I don't remember how much I paid.

The second one was more recent (like a few weeks ago) and I think it was around $37 including shipping.

I generally don't pay that much for cels...in fact the only time I've spent more than $50 was on a Star Trek USS Enterprise w/ background for my buddy's birthday. That one cost me around $75 or so.

I'm actually one of the few (it seems) to enjoy Mac7...then again it's been a few years since I've seen it and I've only really seen the first half...but I've been downloading the full series for a couple of days now (only about a day left) and I'll be able to watch it again.

I also like the music...very popish rock sure...but it's catchy!

But I don't want to turn this thread into another tired Mac7 Rocks/Mac7 sucks thread. I just really wanted info on the cel. Thanks everyone

So I just won this cel from Mac7 on Ebay. I know it's a VF-17, but for the life of me, I don't remember a Red VF-17 and it's been quite awhile since I've seen Mac7.

Anyone know who the pilot is? Or is it just like a cannon fodder?

Is anyone here familliar with the concept of the 'Hero' ship in  Anime? I think this may explain why Hikaru's colour scheme is different from the other 1-s sqod. As he is the protaganist and the 'Hero' of the film his craft gets singled out with it's own colour scheme indicating that it and he is special.  What dy'a think?

As much as I love the VF-1 series of Valks...I had to go w/ the YF-19. That thing is simply beautiful to watch in Macross Plus.

The KO's of the VF-19 are pretty good for custom work though. The plastic is actually pretty decent for a KO, and it's really super easy to just paint the panel lines that go onto the wings.

I made a VF-19 A (I think that's the designation) out of the "Blazer" one.

Took off the side guns and filled in the holes w/ puddy, then painted white stripes instead of yellow ones on the wings.
