  1. Good chapter, we got to know a little more about Windermere and the Wind song, also Keith seems to be in some sort of personal vendetta or at least his attitude is like someone with a personal vendetta.

Messer is a goner, but sincerely I didn't feel this dead like Michael in Frontier. I don't know probably is a very quick dead, not even the end of the first half of Delta, and lets be sincere we all know that Messer was the number 1 option to die in the series, he was basically a big death flag every chapter and the song and the dialog in all the chapter were like "Messer is going to die today". And I don't feel sad for Kaname either, Makina clearly said that the loved one for Kaname is Arad, not Messer. The funny thing is that now with the dead of Messer she is surely going to be depressed and not going to be after Arad at least for a while, also Arad is now the #1 pilot in the Delta squad to be the next to kick the bucket.

Now my real questions are, what the hell was the hole that Mikumo and Freyja have seen and why only both of them?, We are going to see a new pilot with the callsign Delta 02? Is Mirage going to call home for a new ace (her family surely have a lot of ace pilots XD)? The dead of Messer resolves one love triangle and is going to ignite the main one? When are we going to get the DX of the VF-31F?

  2. I agree, Herman would have some impact on Bogue and make him more of an a-hole, unlike the evil twin brother or the other big lug. Keith can't die, he has to repent and see the error of his ways in the end and become redeemed. (aka Brera)

But if a member of Aerial Knights has to kick the bucket, then it is also reasonable that someone in Delta must eat a pineapple salad.

    Dozo Yoroshiku Kakizaki-san

    Macross-Delta-Character-Visual-Chuck-Mus

I figure it's him or possibly Messer, but Messer is a bit too obvious to further the rivalry. Chuck here though meets all the requirements.

    - Not too important to worry about losing... check

    - A VF color scheme that isn't too dissimilar from one of the grunts... check <--- Not really also the big radome makes his valk something pretty different, also you will need a new Delta 03 pilot

    - Has a family that will cry at his untimely demise, and thus engendering feelings of sadness and anger in the main cast... check

    - No girl friend to be devastated when he dies... check

    - A big lug like a certain fatty in the original... check

There is an outside chance of Arad dying, but I also like the idea of Mirage biting the dust. MIrage dying would set a precedence at many levels... kill off a potential member of the triangle, kill off someone with direct relations to the original series, kill off a Jenius (unthinkable), and if Kawamori can pull the trigger there, it'll really set Delta apart. I know it's not likely, but I can hope. (but it would also not be surprising given her medicore piloting skills, but it would be funny if it brought out either granny or grandpa for revenge, in which case, the Aerial knights can expect to last all of three seconds)

Mirage? Is not going to happen and you know that. Is like me wanting Bogue and Keith dead, but is not going to happen... the only way to kill Keith is in a double KO with Messer and Bogue is going for the cliche path of a redeemed evil pilot XD

  3. realistically how competitive will these preorders be (for the more popular fighters like mirage, messer, hayate)

will this be like early amiibo where theyre gone in 10 seconds? or hopefully a little more grace period?

The problem is that amiibos got more re-issues, as far as I know Valks only have one re-issue or two. So is going to be a pain I remember when I tried to get a YF-30 PO and was gone in a period a some minutes with me not being able to get one. I hope that Bandai produce more units for the Delta Valks, than what they produce of Frontier Valks.

  4. Well I only have my first valk (YF-25), but the first objective of my collection is getting one of every major Valk model from Frontier and Delta, so right now it means that I need to collect at least:

    VF-171 (any)

    VF-19 Adv

    VF-25 (any)

    VF-27 (any)

    YF-29 (Alto Custom PO)

    YF-30

Then the RVF's of the VF-171 and VF-25 and finally any preorder I can get this time from Delta XD

  5. Ah figured as much. I was tempted to try an opened item from Mandarake. It was going for 12kY, but man this thing is pristine! Somehow I feel like buying an opened one in Mandarake is better because they could check if there are defects or not :p

Normally even their "used" goods are in very good condition, unless it is something really noticeable. I only have my YF-25, but I have a large collection of Myth Cloths (Saint Seiya) and normally their "used stuff" is basically new.

  6. Awaiting the larrazabal Bandai DX VF-171 version... :p

    attachicon.gifCigPKlpUgAAfmnE.jpg

*yea it might be a long wait depending on how much prominience this guy would have*

Alberto Larrazabal... so the Voldorians adopted spanish surnames and names...btw that surname sounds like mine and that is my middle name XD, If they do a Larrazabal custom they got another client XD

  7. I dislike the ending song and really don't get why people are saying it has a Mac 7 vibe..............no way!

    Graham

I agree that music is the weakest point of Delta until now and I also only remember the catchy Giri giri ai of Ikenai Borderline and Bokura no Senjou (Insert song ep 03).

As for why people says that the ending have a Mac7 vibe is more related to what we see in the animation (real footage mixed with animation), rather than the songs being similar.

  8. A sneak peek of what Super Seigfried looks like. Note that this is the 1/72 kit and not DX. I'm just sharing it here.

Those images are not only interesting for the Super Packs, but also because they seem to give us the pairing between pilot/idol of the Delta squad?

  9. I hope this isn't too saucy for MWF. I couldn't help myself...

Wow, that image of Misa is pretty good... great finding.

Looks like the artist copied Eureka in Eureka Ao having a baby.

This! When I first saw the image, I feel that I already saw it, but I forgot the name of the anime, thanks for make me remember the name. Also there is a "Bogue version" in 4chan.

  10. Master File isn't, strictly speaking, "official material"... the books are disclaimed with a statement that they're not official setting material.

Probably shouldn't count Supika III either, as it was destroyed.

Is there some list of what is considered "official material", I was really thinking that things like master files are, but now that you tell me that they are not, is even more difficult to know what can be considered an official statement in a universe where even the series and movies are both considered canon.... and not. They really need to do something to get more setting materials as the Macrossverse is so rich and diverse.

C'mon Kawamori let the ideas flow or give some restrain and let other people make more material (a la Star Wars) D:

  11. Updated list of planets in Macross:

Airberl (Protoculture ruins- Ruins of Stig Stania, Invaded by Windermere)

    Alfhiem

    Al Shahal

    Anthem III (Invaded by Windermere)

    Avalon

    Avemaria

Banipal(?, there are coal mines there, so presumably some settlement exists)

    Bellfan

    Beneb

    Cristania

    Dahan

    Eden

Eden 3 (not the same star system)

    Elysium (abandoned)

    Endebald

    Ganymede (also a moon)

    Gregor

Hue (Basara visited this planet on a Tousugeki Love Heart video)

    Hydra

    Ionideth

    Iota

    Jupiter (multiple satellite cities)

    Listania (Invaded by Windermere)

Luna (technically a moon, but hey)

    Mars

    Neo York

    Neptune (satellite city)

    New Asia (Declared bio hazard)

    Ragna( Homeworld of Ragnans)

    Randall

Rax (Supposed to be colonized by Macross 5 but blew up.)

    Salvation

    Saturn (satellite city)

    Sephira (Leon Sasaki's home colony)

    Susia

    Ouroboros

Vajra Homeworld (Colonized by Macross Frontier)

    Varauta colony

4th "Ice" Planet in Varauta system. Formerly Arsenal Planet and origin world of Protodevlin and Supervision Army turned prison world.

    Veil

    Venus ("satellite city" orbital colony)

Voldor (Homeworld of Voldorans, Invaded by Windermere)

    Vulcan

    Windermere (Homeworld of Windermereans)

    Zola (Homeworld of Zolans)

All official material can be used to add planets to the list? as there are some other planets named in the Squadron Section of the Variable Fighter Master Files of the VF-19 and VF-25 and they are:

    Gaia (YF-19 Galaxy demonstration tour-2042)

    Megara (YF-19 Galaxy demonstration tour-2042)

El Dorado (YF-19 Galaxy demonstration tour-2042)

    Triton (YF-19 Galaxy demonstration tour-2042)

    Valhalla (YF-19 Galaxy demonstration tour-2042)

Supika 3 (Incident with casualties in 2037-Glassed like Earth by a Zentradi Fleet)

Sagres (Home of the SVF-1429 that use the VF-25C/Sg by 2062, also visit of Ranka Lee)

And well... Earth is also missing in the list :p

  12. Well probably in that department and as I know the YF-29's have enough gimmicks and pseudo tornado parts in its design so probably you can feel it less lacking. And as far as I know the VF-27 is not bad but is not a total renewal like the 25's, still if you are like me and you are starting your collection, the VF-27 "renewal" is a good option if you want a valkyrie with super parts for a nice price. You can also see the YF-25 with Michael super parts is a good combination (Saburo and Spanner took some pretty nice pics of this combination) or the VF-25A as you can find super parts for a good price.

  13. I'm still sure to get the C,F and J variants but i think that i will only try to get super parts for the F (Messer). Also I need to see the A in battroid mode D:, we have only seen the fighter and gerwalk modes. Also i think that they go with this type of super pack to avoid problems with the A.

  14. Very good episode some interesting things...

Hayate is the first one to score a confirmed kill of a 262

The triangle is really starting now #TeamMirage

Being based in the same NUNS framework the iFF of the 262 can be read by someone in a VF-31 (image below), this explains why they use their jamming systems in Al-Shahal

    eti3vji.jpg

262 cannon fodder pilot makes me think that we are going to see the fiance of Freyja in the future

  15. Some people have reported the legs crumbling. More info can be had in the VF-171 CF thread:http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37652

Thanks wmkjr that was a lot of help and is also another good display of photos of the VF-171

The leg problem gets worse with handling. Deploying the legs out of fighter mode puts A LOT of stress on the joint because you have to pull the legs off the super tight pegs by pretty much pulling the lower leg. There's just not enough space / leverage to pull the thighs out by only touching the thighs.

Out of 12 CF's 4 have shattered legs. Those are the four you see in fighter mode in my collection pic :( 1 in 3 is not good odds

    :0

Well those are really bad odds, seems that having the CF version is more of a torture than a pleasure D:, but at least for what I have been reading in this thread and the one cited by wmkjr it seems that the Alto, Maruyama and Luca versions don't have any problem like the CF version, so it seems that they are a better choice to be my first 171.
