how much does a MIB takatoku GBP-1S cost?

@Valk009 - haha! well the skin is still the same hue though. just the dress color scheme is different.

i guess the part where the dress color was different but the skin color is still regular hue was the one that got me thinking their might be a possibility that there was no yellowing involved.

Hi guys, just wanna ask if this item i just bought got yellowed or was there production mistakes when this was made:

i got it LIB already (the stand and base i forgot to include in the pic). notice that the dress is marine green instead of light green, the ribbon and the sash are in deeper color compared to the pic below:

what do you guys think?

and just in case i do repaint this, what particular color and brand should i use? will MR.Color or Tamiya paint work for this?

I dont have any spare parts for you, but you may want to clarify when you say "Bandai VF-1A 1/100" which is Hikaru's white Valkyrie and then state "1/100 Cannon Fodder... vintage" which I would take to mean the brown VF1A...

Which one are you looking for, the brown or white Valkyrie?

Haaay, i envy you guys, you got lots of macross already and i got just a few (and small valks at that). I guess the main problem was i am not exactly a sole macross collector. I also collect other stuff which basically spreads out my expenses into different toy lines.

From 2004 when i started, this is what i have collected so far for both macross and other toy items:

okies, this is at the foot of my bed, my display cabinet. havent canvassed yet for a glass door.. i was thinking of ripping the entire cabinet off and just buy a larger one with a glass case. All of the boxes are stored somewhere else since I don't have extra space here.

the rest of my small macross collection: 1 hi-metal strike valk (red armor is what i got on the legs and right arm, a variant), 1 henkei type macross without the shoulder cannons, 1 1/100 cannon fodder (yes, the legs are bootlegs - but the upper half is genuine bandai), 2 joke machines, 1 small scale vf1j valk, and 3 cms figures

well, the reasons i didnt exactly have enough money for valks are these:

souchaku henshin stuff with vintage shaider items, takatoku arcadia, emeraldas, and godzilla final wars gotengo ship

a billiken tetsuwan atom (quite rare for a vinyl)

ah this one is an exemption, i didnt spend a dime on this robot. a gift from my dad.. this mecha was serialized on tv at the same time macross dyrl was shown in cinemas circa 1984

yep, non-japanese toys: GI Joe hehehe.. if anyone has vintage gijoes lemme know

hi guys, i recently bought a re-assembled, vintage brown vf-1a 1/100. the upper part from the battroid head down to the valk nosecone are all originals, but from the hip down to the feet are bootlegs.

it still looks great but of course, having the original parts are much better.

if you've got any 1/100 cannon fodder parts (hip to feet) from the vintage line please post here. also im looking for the gun for this toy. thanks!

The black line markings on the booster connector for Jetfire is just a sticker, which is not applied on the extra connector I have kicking around. I'll try to remember to get a pic when I get home from work.

The Strike armor is neither red nor green. It is GRAY.

But there are some boxed Strikes floating around with red Jetfire armor, apparently of Japanese origin, but it's really hard to know if lame people just shoved them in boxes or if they were a real Japanese release. But I have a spare Jetfire red booster connector if you want it, richard. It's the same thing.

also some strike armor for the vf1s, bec mine is incomplete. im missing the booster packs and the red thingy that holds the boosters.

if you have a complete armor instead, itll do.

i only have a limited budget thats why i not pursuing a MIB vf1a.

Red thingy that holds the boosters? jetfire was red, strike was green.

I might be able to dig up a fully intact hella yellowed loose 1a... eventually. To much going on at the moment to even look for it.

im not so sure with my version, mine is red armor without the markings that will distinguish it as a jetfire version.

kanata, does the armor released by bandai before had red armor as a variant? or was it a product of discoloration?

anyway if any of you guys will offer me an armor set that is green, the armor should be complete. i wouldnt want mixing up my red armor with your green armor parts.

oh yeah, ill wait for your feedback on the yellowed vf-1a..just post a pic here when you got it already.

actually the japanese version came with stickers that you can convert the 1S roy into a 1S hikaru. But the only problem is the chest color is painted on so you can't really convert it without painting the chest red.
