  2. Just made my payment for Roy at NY.

Roy has always been my favourite so there was no way I was going to miss out but it sucks that the Pay Later option has been disabled.

  3. HLJ finally got around to cancelling my extra Regults so now I only have one. They also cancelled my second 1S so I am only getting the one now.

1 mech, 3 modes, only able to preorder 1 at HLJ :(

Unless I start seeing more 1S getting listed like the 1J I will fear the release of the Regults and my need to army build them.

  4. I see a lot of new members on the forum these days. Maybe the Delta news has brought in new people. I'm guessing some might be lurkers that have been around as well. In any case I think it's good. Welcome to all.

I like to think it is due to the popularity of the Hi-Metal line. That is why I came here ;)

  5. Search didn't show any shot of the little darling hiding behind the VE-1. ......or did I miss it?attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I didn't see that before. There was too much excitement is such a short amount of time so it was easy to miss :)

  6. So has the fokker gone up yet?

Don't remember who wrote the comparison with masterpiece transformers but I agree. I'd add that this line is like transformers deluxe or Gundam high grades that they are smaller cheaper easier to collect for small Japanese apartments and offer more variety of mech. I buy both scales because it's unlikely they'll manufacture a masterpiece of unpopular robots or perfect grades. So I think I'm collecting this line along my 1/48 and 1/60. The scales aren't true since a 100 scale Gundam doesn't match the Valk and 60 scale doesn't quite match either but they don't bother me.

I didn't like that Yamato 60 scales shoulders disintegrated even though I didn't play with them sitting on display.

This line are toys I mess around with but not afraid they're gonna be a 200 $ brick.

Also I'm sick of the pre-order madness that was the vf 25 frontier. These were relatively available.

    That was me ;)

  7. Transformed my 1J to fighter mode. Transformation was easy. It's as "perfect" as it can be at this size, I suppose.

Fighter mode is ugly. No two ways around it. Mine especially since the feet are crooked. Tried twisting the feet straight but they don't appear to have that range of motion, so it's just shoddy build quality.

This and any future HMR VF-1 purchases are staying in battroid mode, which makes them overpriced Robot Damashii figures to me. :p

Hope the Regults are are of better build quality than this.

The feet pull down at the ankles so maybe try that to line them up?

  8. I can't help but smile when people are comparing the 1/100s to the 1/60s. It is almost like saying "I like the Transformers Legends figures but they are no replacement for the Masterpiece line" :)

I am being facetious but you are not going to see the same engineering in a Legends figure that you will in a Masterpiece figure just as the same can be said for 1/100 to 1/60.

I have two 1/60s, Yamato VF-1S and Arcadia YF-19 and I don't even touch them. My 1/100 GBP has been transformed constantly and I really can't wait for the next lot of releases and preorders.

If what Bandai have shown becomes a reality and it stays popular then the 1/100 line will outdo the 1/60 line in expanse.

  9. I am not big into the canon like you guys so all these different Valks/Mech are going to be on the same team. The only downside with that is they will greatly outnumber the Zentraedi so I am going to have to even them up with extra Regults. That is going to get expensive and will only be possible if they get re-releases down the line.

As for casual collectors getting on the HMR line, that is how I am came to be here. I only have a Yamato VF-1S and an Arcadia YF-19 in 1/60 but I am all in on everything in 1/100.
