    I was wondering about the same thing (except the AdWords part since I just found out about it :rolleyes: )

    It's actually cheaper to have a manufacturing company to do a reverse-engineering of these simple stands and probably have a better design built as well. Aside from listing it on AdWords/Overture, etc., doing a demo in a Toys/Figures expo wouldn't be a bad idea to conduct a marketing campaign (at a cost starting from $500) :)

    Hmm. perhaps this is me being a bit stupid but why spend $4000.00 for contacts and a 'customer base?  I mean, unless the stands are patented, why not just re-create them yourself?  Shoot, we've got amazing modellers here that re-cast entire Valk cockpits and we couldn't reverse-engineer these simple stands?

    To me the smarter thing would be to -

    1.  Find a plexiglass plant and give them specs of the individual pieces.

    2.  Order a bunch from the plant

    3.  list on AdWords/Overture and MWF and see if anyone bites.  Really, I don't see what is so unique about what he's selling.  If he had inventory, that'd be one thing but he doesn't.

    Just to clarify:

    Are they freezing your PayPal account or your Bank's checking account?

    For those of you that do not already know, those paypal bast*rds retroactively froze funds in my account and it is now 35 days and counting! I strongly advise everyone if you do not use tracking when you ship, keep all of your documentation, receipts, insurance forms etc, b/c those pain in the arses known as paypal can and will hold your monies hostage if they think it is remotely suspect and requires investigation. They do not care if you shipped the package and the receipient received it, they will still hold any and all funds in your account hostage!

    For my investigation which was suppose to end after the first 30 days (it didn't), after speaking with a completely unempathic manager, I learned the funds will be held for at least another six months pending more investigation! F*CKERS!

    Paypal is so nonchalent about the entire process, not once extending any help or reassurances that the matter was being dealt with quickly.  <_< Meanwhile my monies is being held by them and gathering interest that I do not gain. F*CKERS INDEED!

    If any of you guys still use paypal do NOT, I repeat DO NOT KEEP ANY MONIES IN YOUR ACCOUNT!
