you're lucky. I've been trying to introduce Macross (or, even Robotech) to my son since he was 5. 5 years later and still "nope"... he's just not interested. Gundam hasn't fared any better. (actually the only anime that had any success would be Pokémon)

Hee hee, thanks.
Writing that was a nice diversion from me writing a paper proposing how to decrease the processing time spent performing Screened Poisson Surface Reconstruction to generate a water-tight mesh from a point cloud as part of a Free Viewpoint Video production pipeline.

i'd probably be more interested if $50 gets me all 3 series, the original bubblegum crisis, crash, and 2040; plus AD Police (even though I already have 2040 and ADP in DVD format, and a HK-issued BGC)
plus, someone like ADV might end up putting those out later as a set (just like they did with R*Tech using remastered material)

are the flightposes able to hold a 1/48 with super strike? or just the 1/60ths
-
is this a resin kit or a plastic kit (similar to gunpla) ?

+2 to Keoki420 for the 1/48 woodland combo.... you were right, it -did- take a whole month to arrive!

Nice green q-rau
-
don't forget Legoland... they still have the 1:1 scale Xwing on display.

Isn't Frank and Sons in the City of industry? not quite inland empire..
-
wait.. a BGC thread without hurricane!?
i too bought the Animeigo Macross pre-order at the $250-odd price range. Still happy I did even though, if I were to do-over, probably wouldn't, since there are so many rereleases and it's not much of a collectors item.
(edit to replace link with the music vid instead of a cam-capture)

a minimeet sounds good

Having gotten a Q-R with the figure, I have to say I was disappointed in the figure... it can't stand on its own because of the way they molded her feet (pointy-toed like a ballerina) and is definitely not pose-able. So all she does is sit inside the cockpit (or I guess you can have her lying prone on the ground)
In otherwords, don't feel too bad, you're not missing out on too much.

found this pic, for comparison to the VF-1D 1/60 Yammy... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_YF1tNfQVN8w/TIjxi6vzlJI/AAAAAAABST4/c_ZAn3c_crI/s1600/1.jpg

Wow. I think you can upload them to your MW gallery and link to that gallery album. Then, when you make changes, the pics change but the album link stays put.
Well it changes pretty regularly, and I'd just forget to update it But Im glad u like it

i thought hayao's paint scheme was close to the cannon fodder tan (assuming that's his VF-1A TV)
-
this looks familiar... i think its from another member on here>?
-
did you also model and print the VF-1D head? that looks good too.
-
despite the Studio 54gasm that's going on with it, it does breathe celebration life into it.
someone should custom repaint it with fluorescent or glow-in-the-dark paint

You're right, I see it on Amazon.
And frankly, it's still too freaking expensive. $12-$15 for one extra ship? And the minis don't even look that great.
yeah, I'm waiting for it to dip to $20 for the core box. That's when I picked up 2 of the X-wing core's... one place that has 'cool stuff' had a weekend sale.
next miniature game will probably be the one that palladium's releasing 'soon'
What is your favorite mech from Macross series?

For me, it'll always be the GBP-1 in the Miss Macross episode.
