Hello all, the project is just finished. In this work, I painted the plane just like NSAWC also known as Top Gun's F-14, also hope you'll like it. P.S. Also welcome you in this topic: Brand new member, brand new work

Of course, first I airbrushed the model with GSI Mr. Color Super White then I used TAMIYA tape to masked the white area so that I can paint the rest which I want to be painted as black, red or grey. Then I washed the model just around reticles with enamel paint. Finally, I used the Pastels to achieve smudged panel lines.

Yes, I used the pastels to achieve that. I think it's easier to control with pastels than with enamel wash and usually the final effect would also be better.
