The inflight fueling probe!
Wow, you really know your Airwolf trivia, armentage.
-
Let's see how good you guys are with Airwolf trivia:
On the pilot episode, Moffet tells the Libyan major that Airwolf is bulletproof all around except for one place. Where is Airwolf's weak spot?

Airwolf
Belisarius Productions/Universal Pictures, 1984-1986, 2005
Created by Donald P. Bellisario (Magnum P.I., JAG)
Running Time: 55 minutes per episode (110 minutes for the pilot episode)
Rated TV-PG for violence and mature situations.
CastJan-Michael Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke
Ernest Borgnine (1917-2012) as Dominic Santini
Alex Cord as Michael 'Archangel' Coldsmith Briggs IIILowdown
A private organization known as "The Firm" has developed the ultimate military weapon. Codenamed "Airwolf," this sleek helicopter is capable of flying at speeds in excess of Mach 1 and is armed with the most sophisticated and lethal weaponry ever developed. However, things go wrong when Airwolf's creator destroys the Firm's headquarters and runs off with the helicopter.
Three months later, ace pilot Stringfellow Hawke is recruited by the Firm's chief Archangel to travel to Libya and recover Airwolf. In exchange, Archangel will help Hawke locate his brother St. John, who has been missing in action for over 14 years. In addition, Hawke brings in his old friend Dominic Santini to aid him on his mission. They have less than 48 hours to bring Airwolf out of Libya, if they don't want an all-out war to occur.
And so begins the legend of Airwolf - a tale of espionage and pulse-pounding action involving a customized Bell 222 helicopter. Jan-Michael Vincent delivers a no-nonsense role as the show's antihero Hawke. Shortly after Hawke takes Airwolf with him, he keeps it away from the Firm's grasp. In exchange for more clues to his brother's whereabouts, Hawke and Santini embark on more dangerous missions - many of them involving the Soviet forces.
Sadly, like many top TV shows in the '80s, Airwolf met its demise within its third season. Vincent developed personal problems to the point where he was kicked out of the show. As a result, the cast was completely revamped and the show went completely downhill.
But now, you can relive the glory of the show's first season in a two-disc DVD set. The 11 episodes in the set may look pretty grainy and the audio is still in mono, but hey - $29.99 (Best Buy price) for 10 hours ain't too bad.
If you grew up watching Airwolf, then go get this DVD. And while you're at it, save up for the 1/48 diecast.
Rating: B+

If Universal gave Miami Vice and Knight Rider the royal treatment, why not Airwolf?

Who won in the benoit taijiri match?
Benoit locked Tajiri in the Crossface. Tajiri grabbed a kendo stick and tried to break out of the hold by hitting Benoit with it, but Benoit grabbed it and used it for added leverage to make Tajiri tap out.

Last night on RAW:
- Last week, Lita turned her back on Kane to help Edge become the #1 contender. That left Kane crying out of the arena.
- Bischoff declared the episode "The Death of ECW" as he told the audience how he killed the company. Then, Vinnie Mac appeared. He told Bischoff that WWE secretly funded ECW while Bischoff "raped and pillaged" their locker rooms and snagged away their talents. Vinnie Mac then said that while Bischoff may credit himself for killing ECW, Vince is proud to say he killed WCW. Paul Heyman then appeared and challenged Bischoff to bring his men to the ECW PPV.
- Last week, the Benoit/Tajiri match was called off because Bischoff banned ECW rules. Vinnie Mac had the match restarted last night. Even though the match was rather short, it was worth watching two of the best talents on the roster in action.
- HHH is back. Yawn.

Can I ask a semi-related question here?
When people refer to "fansubs". . . are they referring to actual videos that can be downloaded with subtitles "embedded" into the video? Or are they referring to just timed scripts that subtitle players then play back on top of an already existing video source? Or, does the term "fansub" cover both and is used interchangably?
I'd love to find some good timed subtitle scripts for M Zero so that I could re-master my DVDs with better subs.
Yes, fansubs are the ones with the subtitles embedded into the video. And the DVD by FX will need a good set of subtitle scripts, as the English translation is laughable.

For the first time this year, I skipped a WWE PPV event, and I'm glad I did. But just for the hell of it, here are the results:
WWE Judgment Day Results
WWE Tag Team Championship
MNM def. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas
Carlito Caribbean Cool def. Big Show
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Paul London def. Chavo Guerrero
Booker T. def. Kurt Angle
WWE United States Championship
Orlando Jordan def. Heidenreich
Rey Mysterio def. Eddie Guerrero by DQ
WWE Championship - "I Quit!"
John Cena made John Bradshaw Layfield quit.
BTW, did anyone here actually pick up John Cena's CD You Can't See Me?
-
I just linked it straight to HLJ. That's not a bad thing is it?
If you didn't notice, HLJ has security measures to prevent people from directly posting their pics to other sites.

I watched the trailer two nights ago before seeing Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and I'm not impressed at all. Rob Cohen's gone senile ever since xXx, and he should just retire from the director's chair.

I'm shopping for a soundtrack CD that has tracks from the original trilogy (and maybe some from the current trilogy), as the Special Edition OSTs are just too expensive. Which of these should I order?
John Williams Conducts John Williams: The Star Wars Trilogy by the Skywalker Symphony
Music From the Star Wars Saga by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra
The Star Wars Trilogy by the Utah Symphony Orchestra
John Williams Conducts Music From the Star Wars Trilogy by the Boston Pops Orchestra

Just wondering, why was Ahmed Best listed on the end credits if Jar-Jar Binks had absolutely zero lines throughout the film?
-
Nope. I don't know why the flash made it look like that.
Actually, I wasn't talking about the panel behind the head in robot mode. I was talking about the actual dashboard in car mode. On Grimlock, I painted sections of the dashboard and steering wheel silver to make it look more fully-equipped.
As for Wheeljack, I will need to look at interior shots of the actual race car.
If you're touching up the stripes, I've found that Testors acryl bright blue (their standard shade of blue, that they sell) matches well. For me it was just about perfect, if I used the paint off the top of a bottle whith all the white settled at the bottom.Cool. That saves me time over mixing colors.
-
Thank you. I painted it white. Had to give it a light oil wash, to darken it. Wheeljack is more of an antique white, than a true white.
I may have to repaint some sections of my Wheeljack, as it's a bit scratched-up out of the box.
BTW, did you also paint the dashboard?

For those who want to know what's included in the Unrated & Uncencored DVD, here's a list of features:
Feature Film
The Gary & Lisa sex scene is in its entirety. If you've seen South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut, you probably know what a German schiesse video is. Well, they do just that here.
Bonus Features
The making of Team America consists of several segments:
1. Team America: An Introduction
2. Building the World
3. Crafting the Puppets
4. Pulling the Strings
5. Capturing the Action
6. Miniature Pyrotechnics
7. Up Close With Kim Jong-Il
And then we have these extras:
1. Dressing Room Test - An alternate version of the scene where Gary first meets Spottswoode.
2. Puppet Test - The production team does some movement and dialogue tests with Spottswoode (voiced by Trey Parker in this segment).
3. Animated Storyboards - Rough sketches of six selected scenes, as they were originally conceived. Includes original dialogue.
4. Theatrical Trailers
And what DVD is complete without deleted scenes? Please take note that the following notes are possible spoilers:
Gary Outside of the Tavern - Before Gary proceeds, Joe tells him that Lisa has feelings for him. Personally, I'm glad this scene was deleted, as it killed the chemistry between Gary and Lisa before it started.
I'll Never Be a Racist Again - This occurs during the scene where Gary leaves the team after Panama is bombed...
Spottswoode: "Team, this is all my fault. I was overzealous in Cairo. I let racism cloud my judgment. I was so sure the ultimate terrorist was Middle Eastern, but I didn't realize he was a goddamn G**k. I'll never be a racist again."
Gary: "I'm leaving. I'm out."
Spottswoode: "No, Gary! You can't leave! We need you now, more than ever!"
Gary: "Don't you see what's going on out there? Everyone hates us!"
Spottswoode: "Hey now, everyone hated Winnie the Pooh, too."
Gary: "No they didn't!"
Spottswoode: "Well, I did. That c*cksucking bear killed Jack Kennedy!"
Gary Fights the Guards - The extended version of the scene where Gary enters Kim Jong-Il's palace and shoots down the guards. It's supposed to be a parody of the fight scene in The Matrix: Reloaded.
You're Puppets! - As Martin Sheen and Tim Robbins are guarding the prison cells, they argue with Team America about who the real puppets are.
You're Gay Now - A gag of the scene where Gary proves his commitment to the team. For this scene, Parker voices Spottswoode...
Spottswoode: "Rise up. All right. I trust you. Now let's get cleaned up. If we're gonna send you single-handed to Kim Jong-Il's palace, we have very little time to make you the best soldier in the world. It's gonna be hard because you're gay now."
Choreographing "Lease" - One of the Chiodo brothers tells the puppeteers how Gary's supposed to dance during his Broadway performance.
Anytown, USA, Explosion - An alternate camera angle of the destruction scene inspired by Independence Day.
More Seriouslyer - Ben Affleck is represented as a "hand" puppet.
Tonight's News - Instead of Peter Jennings, we have BBC reporting Team America's actions.
Team America Ate My Baby - Michael Moore gets a fan to shout out some propaganda.
-
Extras aren't all that hot, though.
Yeah, majority of them are taken directly from the official site. The deleted scenes and outtakes are hilarious.
-
Team America: World Police hit stores yesterday. Who picked up their copy?
As for those interested in finding out what's inside the Unrated version, the sex scene is worse than porn. Consider yourself warned.
-
Very impressive. But until Fine Molds starts producing B-Wings, I'm not touching any SW model kits.

compare
I see that it has nearly the same button layout, but I can tell that it's gonna be uncomfortable after an hour or two. That's why I'm hoping Logitech will come up with a wireless controller for the PS3 that retains their PS2 controller design.

Sweet job you did, Greyrider. Did you paint the mid-section silver or white? (I'm planning to paint the mid-section on mine silver, and possibly repaint the forearms entirely black while retaining the blue pistons.) And I like the '05' decal on the door.
