Talking about Hot Toys, got my first hot toys from a member on this board locally today.

I feel like I can never truly get into hot toys because although there are perfect, you can't really play with them and significantly change there pose.

That and the price too.

I'm waiting for that real game changer to jump into hot toys but no disrespect to the collectors out there who do own them.

Just not my cup of tea haha

Most Hot Toys are not too posable due to the material for their outfits. I think only superman 78 is highly posable.

I did it on my VF-1j Max as well and it works great. It funny both my M&M has the same issue new out of the box.

I did the candle trick over a flame and it works. Took only couple seconds.

Anyone can ask for the moon, but what it sells for is the real price.

They billed me annually. I kept adding the cover charge and the price goes up obviously with it. I am currently covered for 20k and paying one hundred something annually. Not to bad for peace of mind. You can get a free quote from them.

I agreed. If I want to display a Walter P-38, I'll just buy the original G1 toy and display it as the gun.

There is one possible benefit to adding up the cost of collectibles/valuables and keeping a private record like dapro: if you intend to get insurance coverage this information will be important for a claim. It will be especially important in the unhappy event that some or all of a collection is stolen.

That aside, I'm with those who are uncomfortable with posting their spending habits in public. Frankly, it's no one's business.

Ditto! The reason I kept a spread sheet is for insurance purpose. I don't just collect macross, I also collect Masterpiece Transformers and sport cards\sport memorabilia. I am cover in case theft or fire.

I have everything I bought on an excel spreadsheet, but don't want to know. haha
