This just makes me think "Liam Neeson was busy that day?"
-
This one?
That's the one!

I just watched 80s B movie The Eliminators last night, for the first time since I was a kid. I'm not sure if it was the worst thing or the best thing, but I enjoyed it far more than I probably should have.
-
I know I've said this before, but I really wish they'd stop using that textured fabric for superhero costumes. Back in the 90s I bought a BMX bike, that had a similar fabric on the seat. It's all I can think of, when I see these super-suits.

I just want to know if he can turn his head.

*looks through last page of thread*
Yeah, I think I'll just stick with Atomc Robo....

Still working out the fiddly bits...
A dreadnought battlestar? Dreadstar? Cool!

he only needs to make one-sided molds. Sounds crazy but cuz I am lazy i just use mold putty mixed one to one by hand, press the putty onto the piece on a flat surface, then make molds from the impression.
dont get cheap quick resins like alumilite unless you love bubbles. I use smooth on and after a pour into the one piece i cheat by putting the mold against a large flat surface like a cd-case. After cure, very minimal cept for some flash that got between the mold and the flat surface. This only works for one piece molds, two piecers are a whole different ball game
Bubbles? My experience with Smooth-On is that the stuff may be carbonated. So many bubbles....
I'm a fan of PolyTek's resins, but Smooth-On does make good mold rubber.

blame it on the droids who repaired the door on the Falcon that fell on his ankle and broke it.

I still don't get the wood over the G1 cartoon "Jetfire".
Me either. I like Hasbro's updated Jetfire offerings, but I'm just not feeling the love over these Skyfires.

Bit*h was so bad, she made water burn...
I'm from Ohio. That's not that impressive. Our rivers have been known to do that, without the dragon.

Elsa was a puddle?
THAT'S NONSENSE!!!!
Clearly, a
wizardwitch did it. -
I can't get enough Mountain Monsters.

Masterpiece Arcee, with Headmaster Daniel.

You're not alone, I played with those too in the early 80's. I think those were mid-70's sets (pre-minifig). The boxes were rigid styrofoam with formed plastic trays for the pieces and a cardboard flap to cover the trays. The wheels were thesered 2x2 cylinder with a thin metal shaft you could slot into a 4x2 black brick with tiny holes in the 4 sides. So easy to make gatling guns with those
YES! I still have some of those wheels, too! I forgot all about them.
-
I never had any Fabuland, but I've got a few of those red fences. I think they might be some of the stuff I have that dates back to the old figures; the ones based around the 2x2 bust pieces that the heads and arms plugged into.
I hope I"m not the only one who remembers those....

I can not watch a trailer for this movie without getting Blue Oyster Cult stuck in my head.

Yup, click-hinges suck. I thought LEGO had eliminated most of them by now, but it seems they're still around. Trying to think how they would have been connected "back in the day"----removable tile pieces over minimal studs?
Technic pieces with holes through them, and a couple of those gray Technic pegs
Or, was it still called Expert Builder, back then?

Loved the show as a kid. It would be nice to see it brought back on the air but I say that about alot of cartoons from the late 80s and 90s.
Along with season two of Pirates of Darkwater.

I'm glad to see that ED 209 remains completely useless.

Indeed. Fox is horrible with their scifi shows....Firefly....Terminator....dollhouse....I miss any others that really didn't take off on popularity until it was over?
I don't know about ones that became more popular afterwards, but they had a slew of genre shows in the 90s that were all cancelled in short order, without getting a chance to find their feet. VR5 was a bit surreal, but it had an interesting back story going. Strange Luck ended on a cliffhanger. Brimstone was just great, lot of fun. The verbal jousting between the lead character and the Devil was some of the best writing this side of Whedon.
I think Dark Angel was doing half way decent, when they cancelled it to make room for Firefly.
Fringe was doing great, before they moved it to the Friday night kiss of death time slot. Then, they cancelled it, because the ratings dropped.

I've enjoyed every episode, so far. The driving scenes are priceless.

You FIBRIR-ers keep on thinking that...
I had the toys. I was there, man!
Even MORE remake madness.......

I'm just glad to read that they're not making it an outright comedy. That's what keeps killing most of these old TV show adaptations.
