  1. The fifth part of Macross Alexandria: Manifest Destiny:

Part 5: We Are Coming, Nineveh (PDF Download)

WARNING: This story deals with themes such as political and religious views expressed by some characters in the story that may offend certain readers, so reader discretion is advised. Don't tell me I didn't warn you!

    Spoiler-free summary:

    Spoiler

Alexandrian Union scientists enter the Protoculture Archives and the Alexandrian Union NUNS and NUN Marine Corps make their move to capture Nineveh Province from Islamic State.

    Notes:

This part of the story got delayed because I felt lazy to write (again)

This part of the story has the first appearance of the special guest character from the real world. I included that character as this story is about how will present-day Earth react to the arrival of the Alexandrian Union NUNS expeditionary fleet from the Macross Alexandria universe.

But if I'm not mistaken that looks like a VF-25 being compared to an F-22. LOL

Of course the VF-25 is way superior the F-22. The disparity between fifth-generation variable fighters in Macross and present-day fighters is shown in my fanfic Macross Alexandria: Manifest Destiny.

    So let's talk paint.

By the time of macross Delta, I think the Valks are using a kind of SMart Paint on their fighters. In Episode 7, right at the start as Delta are going onto their mission on the cat planet, The Valks (And Walkures carrier ship) all black shift to this stealth camo. Do we have any idea if this is actually a thing?

I ask because suddenly custom colors on a fighter seem like they'd be relatively easy to do. You just program the scheme and the planes smart paint system changes it for you.

Will I finally stump Seto with a questyion about a Valkyries PAINT?! Tune in to find out!

It could also be a holographic projection like the Walkure outfits.

The Alexandrian Union NUNS forces move to capture cities in Iraq and Syria held by Islamic State. Meanwhile, scientists open the doors to the Protoculture Archives once military engineering teams are able to dig an access box to the entrance.

    Notes:

This part of the story features a guest character from Battlestar Galactica 2003. The special real world guest character will appear later in the story.

    Spoiler

The OSM Christ Pantocrator lands near the site of the Protoculture Archives, with the first team to scout the area of the Protoculture Archives on board the ship. After the first team scouts area of the Protoculture Archives, the NUNS Holy Spirit and its escorts perform a space fold to Earth orbit, sending down personnel to access the Protoculture Archives.

    Some notes:

This part of the story was delayed because I felt lazy to write ;)

This part has the first appearance of an idea that I have in mind for this story. In later parts this story will also feature a special guest character from the real world. As this story is about an expedition from the Macross Alexandria universe going to another universe with a present-day Earth to find the Protoculture Archives, I am pretty sure you could figure it out :D

It would most likely be called "Space Force" though. The US Air Force currently controls practically all of US military space assets, and any Space Force would most likely be an offshoot of the Air Force. It will only be called "Spacy" if it is an offshoot of the Navy, which for the reason I wrote previously is unlikely.

I am aware of that, and the Firefox BOOK was first published in 1977. I'm  talking about a fictional timeline that could easily be tweaked to fit actual program developments.

    Chris

I am also aware of that, though of course your scenario could always work in an "alternate universe" setting ;)

I LOVE the Firefox. I've been toying with a slight redesign of it using faceted angles over the whole airframe like the F-117. It's nose section already sort of does it. Would fit in the story too, we steal the Firefox and use what we learn from it for our Stealth program giving the F-117.

    Chris

Sorry to burst your bubble but actually the F-117 was in development since the 1970's as part of the Have Blue program.

    Spoiler

The Protoculture Archives Expeditionary Fleet, performs reconnaissance on the Earth in the universe they are in where the Protoculture Archives are located. The Alexandrian Union comes up with plans to deal with potential threats on that Earth. Later, the expedition sends the first team to the Protoculture Archives.

    Some notes:

I am working on the third part of the story. This story reuses ideas from my canceled crossover fanfic with Robotech, namely the use of fold gates that lead to other universes.

    Spoiler-free summary:

    Spoiler

Scientists from the Alexandrian Union find a fold gate leading to another universe where the Protoculture Archives are hidden. The Alexandrian Union sends an expeditionary fleet to the other universe through the fold gate to find the Protoculture Archives.

    Some notes:

The concept of this story is based on an idea I found here, how would present-day Earth react to the arrival of an expeditionary fleet from the Macross Alexandria universe? The story will show the cultural dissonance between present-day Earth and the Alexandrian Union from the Macross Alexandria universe, as well as the technological disparity between them. The basic plot of the story, especially in the later parts, is very loosely based on the Revelation of John from the Bible. I am currently working on the second part of this story.

It would be nice to take the Lockheed T-50A, fit it with weapon avionics and a radar (maybe even the F414 engine), and you basically have your light fighter/attack aircraft for the USAF and Air Guard. It would be a spiritual successor to the F-20.

That already exists in the form of the F/A-50, which is the primary fighter of the Philippine Air Force:

The pilots of Nazareno Squadron spend their Holy Week vacation together.

    Some notes:

This story deals with the off-duty lives of the pilots of Nazareno Squadron during Holy Week in 2070. It is loosely based on my own experiences during Holy Week.

I am currently working on Macross Alexandria: Manifest Destiny, which takes place a few months after the events of this story.

  13. The third and last part of Macross Alexandria: The Sagittarius War:

    Spoiler

The Alexandrian Union attacks Orleans and sends the NUN Marine Corps and NUNS Space Paratroopers to capture Orleans City and President Wright of Orleans.

    Some notes:

I am working on Macross Alexandria: Manifest Destiny as well as another story that would take place between the events of Macross Alexandria: The Sagittarius War and Macross Alexandria: Manifest Destiny. That story would be a short story that would show the off-duty lives of the characters of Macross Alexandria.

I like the idea of NUNS Marines.  They are the perfect hybrid for a terrestrial / space story.  However, I never saw a need for a variable tank.  Armored GERWALKs,  GBP's, a Marine version of the VB Koenig, LHD type carriers like the Quarter, etc... yes, they would be essential to a Marine arsenal.   The Marines are generally a task force, not a Navy or an Army in scale.  If you base them on the US Marines, you will notice that the US Marines tend to use proven gear and are rarely prone to adopting bleeding edge tech since troops need dependable equipment to do the hard missions.

While the variable tank is primarily for "Rule of Cool", the NUN Marine Corps in the Macross Alexandria stories use Valkyries like the VF-25 and deploy from either an Uraga Class carrier or a SDFN Macross Class using dropships. The NUN Marine Corps in Macross Alexandria mostly uses the same equipment as the (larger) NUN Army for the sake of commonality. However, their expeditionary role means that the NUN Marine Corps uses the Beatrice family of amphibious wheeled armored vehicles instead of the larger tracked vehicles preferred by the NUN Army, which also uses the Beatrice family in the same roles as the real-life Stryker in the US Army.
