  1. Can anyone here translate this for me, or does anyone here have pre-ordering experience with Amazon Japan that knows what this means? I want to pre-order volume 2 and have it ship with volume one in one package, but the Chrome translator isn't all that clear and I'm unsure what I need to do. It's asking me to check a box, but by default it's unchecked and I have no clue if I should leave it that way or not.

    Chrome Translation
Important message is there # 2 about the product of your order.

If you are a shipping address and payment method selected to the initial settings, please put the check.

    Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the replies! =)

So, it's not so much that the limited slip is of poor quality in materials, it's just the design/images that people have a problem with? I actually like the DYRL design based on photo's I can find, but I wouldn't buy it if the slip felt like it was nothing more than a thin piece of insert paper.

And just to confirm, the limited slip can fit over the regular slip that fits over the bluray case, right? It's not an "either or" choice, is it?

  3. My copy came in the other day a little beat up, but overall not bad.

It's a nice set, but it's nowhere near worth the $180+ price tag after shipping. I was more adament about buying it because I want to support everything I can that Macross is releasing with English subs, but the set itself is overall "meh." I still haven't finished the Frontier series (and I've tried starting it a good four times now), so I'm unsure about what these movies are and which one I should watch first.

Still, hopefully this sells enough that possibly we can get older titles released in non-fancy sets with English subs tacked on (I'm not expecting another DYRL mega set with al those goodies, so a single disc re-release with subs would do me just fine).

  4. Does anyone know of a place that's still selling this? I had it pre-ordered with AmiAmi, but I can't pay them for some odd reason (they refunded me back my money saying that it was sent incorrectly) and I just want to stop dealing with the headache they're giving me.

They have it priced at $199.06 USD, so is anyone else still selling it for that amount?

    Thanks

  5. I just ordered. It would arrive at my home in 2 days (June 24). Thank you again sir. :)

Still available on HMV Japan. Make it quick to order it.

Thanks so much! It was so odd, I was looking around last night at online import shops and for some reason HMV.jp said it was backordered. But when I clicked on the link you provided it reverted to in-stock status.

    Anywho, ordered! :)

  6. Not sure about those who preordered thru other stores like AmiAmi or YesAsia were given the option.

Not even sure who were able to cancel their preorders _after_ the edit-news was propagated.

Sucks to be suckered like this, but oh well.

I had two preorders, one with PlayAsia and one with CDJapan, and I was able to cancel both just days before the release date. With PlayAsia they had my credit card on file and it was easy for them just to cancel my order. With CDJapan, I prepaid with Paypal in full and I had to email them and wait for a refund. The only hiccup I had was that they didn't refund my payment and they sent me back the money as a payment to me meaning that I was being charge a sellers fee through Paypal and not getting all of my money back. But I simply called Paypal, told them wha was going on, and they refunded me the $12 that they were gonna charge me.

All in all it was pretty simple to cancel from two separate webstores.

  7. I'm not really the best person to help you since I don't have any of those toys, but I'd recommend reading the reviews at anymoon.com:

    Yamato 1/60 YF-19 - http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=1673

    Yamato 1/60 Vf-0 - http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=1240

Dubble Nuts and Bird of Prey are non-canon alternative color schemes (blue and orange trims, respectively) for the YF-19, so the one you've seen should be an actual toy of the variable fighter, though not in the regular Macross Plus colors. Phoenix is the nickname of the VF-0, just like the VF-25 is called Messiah.

A renewal version line for the VF-25:s has recently been released by Bandai, but the release has been a total mess. I'm certain that someone is willing to fill in on the details, because I haven't really followed the situation. But unless they are restocked in the future, I guess that they will be very hard to find and be very expensive. The toys should be quite good, though.

That's a fantastic website! Thanks so much for the information =)
