I'm referring to the long grey things attached to the swiveling engines at the ends of the wings.

My guess is that they are supposed to be the housing for the engines that are in a somewhat aero-dynamic shape. I think, because these are supposed to be atmosphere capable sets.

I still don't understand the silly fingers on the ends of the wing boosters.

Didn't you know that the fuselage is the thumb and they are the four fingers? That way they can literally "give you five".

I think the second and third from the last look the most like there is an actual starfield outside the hangar. Nice shots!

It is about time!! I had to pre-order both of these. I am stoked that they are finally making them.

It's not that bad.

I already have a number of Valks, Alphas/Betas, and Star Wars/G.I. Joe-scale figures sitting on the desk in this room. And my two (slightly) older kids know better than to mess--or even attempt to mess--with Daddy's toys.

Once the baby gets older, I doubt she'll be able to reach the display case.

Besides, she's rarely in that crib too. (I swear, the girl has a sensor on her that goes off whenever we put her in there!)

Lastly, there's usually a bunch of diaper boxes, baby wipes, laundry hampers, baby clothes, etc. blocking the front of the case. So, my three kids would have to put some massive effort to even get close to accessing that display case.

And if none of those things stop them, the fear of royally pissing off Daddy is usually a pretty sufficient "deterrent."

I think $200 is a little high relative to the purchase I made toward the beginning of this year. But I haven't been looking at prices for the B lately.

I went to go check my NY account, and despite not receiving any actual email about it, they did post a shipping confirmation and tracking number. I think they're just behind with their email updates, so if you haven't gotten any notifications, make sure to check your order history.

I never got an e-mail from NY for my 30th anniv 29 parts. It was only due to paying attention to this site that I realized I should look on their site. I did and discovered that they posted that my order would be canceled if I didn't pay on time. Their e-mails are not blocked in my e-mail either. So, be aware that you could get an update without an e-mail.

Yeah, Deadeye does cover my impression/nostalgia of the Jetfire relased for Transformers. However, I never had the 1/55 Macross valks. That is a major reason as to why I got into Macross, though.

So it'll be stuck on a boat until sometime in 2015.
