Good business for next 85 years.
To be honest a 1950's style remake of the first episode of SDF:Macross would be pretty awesome.

Not because it's obscure but because it's infamous

I'd imagine the copious amounts of drugs consume at a Firebomber concert helped with bringing peace too.
And the Zentradi mosh pits.

That "dub" was just so bad.
I never got though why HG didn't use DYRL. It was packaged and ready to go. Do some editing to get it PG level, change a couple protoculture references and boom.

I was under the impression that there was a separate pile legalese related to MacII&plus?

This is gonna be sick.

Not to mention kind of frickin scary... remember that guy's manifesto? Here's a quote that makes you realize some people can discern fanboy-ism from reality:
What the hell did I just read. Give that boy a straight jacket and a hit of thorazine.

Yeah, I meant to say that MB did make that trip down to Chile.
If I bought the contract from Tatsunoko I'd do some serious art house ****.

Berserk and Tokko.
The latter is hilarious, the former increases your testosterone levels.
"I got like 80 gigs of porn on this thing!"
And Shaorin I saw something better than your poster, a Pchem book chilling on your shelf.

I can't help but feel that if it was Tony Oliver instead, they would be all over it. They seem to "love" him, get him when they can, etc.
Well, Michael Bradley didn't make a trip down to Chile for a large unofficial Robotech convention either. I think the reason why MB got thrown under the bus is he can't be controlled.

Been bumping this sh*t in the car the past few weeks:
N*s trying to be the king, but the Ace is back!

How is it that in his 50's Max can still go ham on Protodevlin?
-
In an entirely unrelated note I never knew that Kawamori was involved with Stardust Memory or Armored Core.
That really does explain the influences for the Destorids in Macross Zero. I always wondered why they had an AC look to them. Now it makes sense.

You know, I wonder why Grumman never went after BW before everyone else.
Even homages get people reamed in court regularly.

Around 1984, I had a friend who's father used to go to Japan on business a lot. He would always bring back video tapes of cartoons, and he brought over SDF Macross. I couldn't understand anything, but my friend would do the translations for me. We were Macross fans, at the same time, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Voltron, etc. Then in 85, when Robotech aired, I thought it was Macross dubbed in english. Then, when Dana's story aired, I was very confused. That's when I found out that Robotech wasn't the same as Macross. By then, I was hooked on Robotech as well, but basically because it had Macross. My second introduction into Macross came in 89 as a freshman in high school, when that same friend let me borrow a VHS tape of DYRL. I had never heard of it, but after watching a 2nd gen. copy of it with no subs, It brought me back to the first time I had seen SDF Macross. Once the internet came around, and people could buy stuff online, and search for stuff, I bought Macross and Robotech merchandise.
It wasn't till early 2000s, that I came into Macross Plus, Macross 7, and Macross II. Once those came into my possession, while still a Robotech fan, I was sold on Macross. Following years would prove that my enjoyment would continue to this day, and now, it's where it's at now.
We should become the founding members of the old as hell base.

I got a crazy story for ya'll.
I saw the original broadcast of Macross in Japan. I turned around and saw Robotech in the U.S only a few years later. Ignoring the shenanigans related to franchise that, I enjoyed the RPG and novels more than anything it spawned.

I never understood why so many Robotech fans do that. There's one thing that I've realized many of them do 1)Write fanfics...I really don't have a problem with this, and some are good, but there are soooo many fanfic writers, it's a telling sign that HG isn't doing the job of telling much of any story. Maybe it's just my own observation, but there are probably more Robotech fanfic writers to regular fans, than any other franchise, except maybe Star Trek.
2) Many fans have this insatiable desire to incorporate the existing Macross shows into Robotech. It's one of the worst ideas ever, and I don't know why it keeps getting asked at every convention. It's a telling sign there, that Macross is THAT GOOD, and that fans don't want the HG staff's stories.
I'd imagine the logic is also that HG could make the hack and slashes and snips, and have "Robotech Frontier" out asap vs. whatever the hell they're doing now.

It reminded me a lot of the direction the animation went. Tintin in that I remember multiple times socked people in the face and shot at people a couple of times.
-
Now if only if someone could get us FTL, or an alien ship conveniently crashes on Earth.

Watcing FB2012 made me want one thing
A Zentradi moshpit.
And yeah Raptor, I'm with you on the differences in relations portrayed. You really feel bad for Minmay because the two actually went on dates and such. They basically had a normal relation.
Though SDF could have used just a couple extra soft moments with Misa and Hikaru that didn't involve forced kisses.
-
If grittiness is a deciding factor for what is cool, then I would have to say Frontier (the show) is way grittier than SDFM or MII
Eh, MF doesn't have Misa flipping **** and pretending to have a normal middle class life with Hikaru. There is still something to this day I find creepy about that scene in the colony ship.

I don't know if anyone here does sensors research but this is an interesting result doesn't entirely shock me.

Merchandise question: Did anyone in Japan ever produce a Macross pen and paper, or do we only have the Robotech RPG made by Palladium?
What brought this up is there is an Evangelion Pen and Paper and it made me wonder if such a thing for Macross existed.
