Reasons why you should like ride armor
1.)power armor, check
2.)motorcycle double check
3.)a motorcycle that transforms into power armor, <3
Now if only my ninja would do that.

Keith, the is probably the most comprehensive whose banging who in Macross response I've ever seen.

Speaking of evangelion clones, does anyone remember that show from I think the early or mid 2000's where it was basically Evangelion done as a light comedy? I liked that show.
:edit:
Finally remembered what it was: Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure
So yeah, it's basically Evangelion if evangelion was a harem comedy by the same dude who created Tenchi Muyo!
From what I understand Dual! is set within the Tenchi megaverse.
Back on topic, it does feel evangelionish, but it ends on a much happier tone.

She just kicked a bunch of mobile suit's asses for fun, owned Darth Vader and as an aside the video had multiple instances of missile massacre.

Aren't they featured in one of those role playing game books which was announced 2 years ago and has yet to be released?
As far as I know they're released all the updated RPG books.
Unless they were planning other RPG manuals. I wouldn't be complaining about that. That's the only piece of merchandise I'm interested in.

Mari is indeed the voice actor of Minmay.
I think she's one of the first (if not the first) to do this as well.

Speaking of upscales to gundam this Gundam Wing Intro is pretty sick
-
jeez it's not like we're not going to pirate rips and sub them anywayz like we did for the passed 15 releases :v
I'm only interested in seeing an upscale of the first episode and that's it.

If you have any skill rapping I'd make a diss track.

uhhh, not really.
Gundam may be look better, but I think that's more of Bandai always having better (or rather, properly maintained) masters of it than they ever have of their Macross.
That and Zeta had some good animation for a 50 episode 80s anime. Though that might be due to the all hail Tomino thing and him getting a large budget.

Still trying to look into that, but everything is so secretive in Japan (I mean, they're f*ckin' cartoons, not state secrets! This ain't f#$%ing Wikileaks!), that I'm having a hard time piecing everything together. Anyway, let's just say that BigWest has pretty much absolute power over everything with the Macross name on it, to the point of stubbornness, and other companies actually have quite a hard time with that.
tbh I'm glad BW has the balls to control it's IP.

Like many things, it's the vocal minority.
It's that vocal crazy minority that makes me not go to anime conventions.
It wasn't bad here, but on other forums for example people were celebrating when Macek died. That's just ****ed up man.

After years of putting it off/ forgetting about it I watched Video Girl Ai and read the magna series it's based off. At least it ends happy.

It seems like alto could have solved all his problems on day one if he admitted the following thing.
"I am a boobs man."

Is it just me or is Millia actually hotter in Mac7 than SDF?
I would believe so considering she's a mil...*gets shot and stomped on repeatedly by her horde of daughters*

They kinda did. It's volumes 3 through 5 of the Macross II novels.
The best part in the fifth novel was the foreword: "btw we're abandoning this universe so support the upcoming releases k thnx bai."

Beer and so far the pre-meds have not flooded the inbox.
Went to the beau's parents.

What about Neon Genesis Evangelion?
Sure.
Syndication my friend, syndication. Evangelion had the hardcore weeaboo population covered, but for the general public? That was Gundam Wing.

And on the mecha end that can be connected to Gundam Wing in 99/2000. I guess subtly transformers has always done that in the US, but I think when CN dropped GW, a couple of other stations scrambled to get a mecha show out asap.
And oh god all the Yaoi that spawned. GW Yaoi still made by the bucketload both in Japan and the U.S.

If this was a FPS/RPG hybrid I'd be getting pretty excited. Right now this screams "repeat the Shadowrun FPS debacle."

I just loves me some synthpop Ministry

without a doubt though the internet helped to proliferate fansubbing. Usenet in the early 90s and the IRC chatrooms old was a source for untold amounts of collabs.

Transformers is a good example of how to do a collaboration that leaves everyone happy. Hasbro didn't care about Beast Wars Neo as long as they had access to the mechanical designs for example.

In the books the story is set hundreds of years after a nuclear war. The districts themselves were basically just hold outs of civilization.
