  1. Thanks for all of your praise pushing me finish this kit. Clear red lamp on the wing added. I coupled it with Hasegawa 1:72 ground crew set tonight. Is that nice? After transforming once, the paint on metal parts was scratched even metal primer was used.
  2. Update. Pilot painted. Decal added. Top coat sprayed tonight.
  3. A minor update. Still far from finish, closer than yesterday anyway. The most difficult part is nearly every parts contain 2 to 3 colors which need a lot of masking work before spray.
  4. Thanks for your scanning. I am glad that I am not the only one working on this ancient model.
  5. Thanks for your scanning. It is very good reference for me. I am building a 1:72 transformable kit Max VF 1J.
  6. Hi, thks for your comment. I thought about the waist mod in the beginning. However, when I play with my small revolttech VF 1S, I found the joint is not that helpful in improving the posing. In considering the operation is comparably big and the stability, I abandon the operation. May be I will build it on the next kit. Recently I bought some 1:72 Bandai VF 1J kits @ ~US $3 during a local mega sale. This old and cheap stuff contain all the thigh joint and waist joint in the original design. Really amazing.
  7. Paint the cockpit tonight. The pilot seems so happy. Almost 3 hours' work. The progress is slow as a snail.
  8. My progress is slow as I always stoned by the model as it really recall too much childhood memory during building it. I love the design. You see, even now (30 years later) the Hasagawa type fighter do not provide movable, diecast metal landing gears.
  9. I am going to paint it as blue Max 1A and build another 1S later. So this model is my first guinea pig. I want to build Hikaru, Max & Milla 1J also. However, they are not commercially available locally.
  10. Yes, it look much cooler after modification. The idea was come from those Zaku ver 2.0. Tonight work for another 3 hours but the progress is slow. Having say that the ancient model is not so 'modeller friendly' (compare with those Gundam model).
  11. The official postures are quite frightening to their potential customers. The real model is far better than the picture.
  12. IMAI version are dream model when I was young. I was poor at that time and not own it. I only recently noticed that the Bandai reissue model are the same as IMAI one. It is quite difficult to find them in Hong Kong (1S, 1D, 1A) compare to those XXXX Gundam. All VF-1J (variable model) were gone (because not being reissue?). I am quite strange why no company issue new Macross model. Hasagawa only issue none transformable type. The Yamato versions are great but far too expensive to me.
  13. Hi, I am new to this forum. Now I'm building one variable type model (VF-1A). BN
