well, how many times did you see a Vajra getting stab with a knife ? If it only happens once, the Vajra network wouldn't find it necessary to develop a countermeasure. The warhead was used intensively in the previous wars, hence in time they develop immunity. (Even Brera mention "in the future" even his beam will be useless). If your whole squad for some reason decided on a close combat with a knife, then maybe after few battle they can't be stabbed =_=

because you can only kill it with something you haven't tried before. Vajra evolved to be resistent to existing weapon, so you have to always try something new (regardless of which comes first bomb before bullet XD ). Anyway, it just goes to show you give everything you got till you die, and not cry halfway just because the warhead is not effective anymore (at least Brera still have his positronic beam)
