I just opened my VF-1J today, the toy is nice, and the TV style hands are cool.

However I noticed the box of VF-1J doesn't have magic tape to keep the front cover in place.

Is it just my box or is Yamato really getting cheap on the new boxes?

I did sand off the bump a little bit.

But I think that's not the main problem.

The main problem is the small retractable attenna.

Try to put the attenna inside the completely without

letting the small traingle part stuck out.

That should solve your problem.

If Bandai can make 1 meter tall Gundam and Zaku and still make a profit out of it,

what stops Yamato make a 1/48 Q-Rau if there is a market?

It will be really sweet if the long waited yamato SDF-1 is

as big as a Jumbo grade gundam or even better as big as a HY2M gundam.

Sigh.... I got too deep into the bottomless yamato pit.

I have no choice but continue buy their products,

it makes no sense to quit collecting yamato when I finally

collected the complete line (up to today)

Just hope they spend their time making new sculpt rather

than keep re-painting the same old sculpt again and again.

I'm getting a bit tired of yamato yesterday when I open my VF-1S (Red) and unable to pose it nicely holding its gun in robot mode.

There is a Toysmart shopping mall with many toy stores, recommend the one in basement level 2 near the end. It has all the 1/48 Yamatos.

Also, there is a 2nd floor shop on Dundas street across Toysmart.

Great selection, but the price is not rock bottom.

$950 for VF-1J Super is the cheapest I have found. Good luck in toy hunting.

I'm very interested in getting hte minmay guard decal.

However, my only concern is how hard is it to remove all the piants from my valkyrire and re-paint it white before applying the decals.

I've a extra vf-1a cf lying around, I plan to convert it to minmay guard VF-1A.

the only problem is I don't know how to make it decently.

Any hints or tips for a newbie? I never customized any toy before.

If your parents allow to you store your old stuffs at their basement, keep them.

I have specify instruction to my parents that never throw away any of my old stuffs.

I had left home for almost 3 years and moved out of town, I know one day I'll go back

and pick up all my old stuffs when I can afford to buy my own house.

I bought my 1/60 TRU a month earlier for US$30 on eBay.

I vote for VF-4, it's definitely the prettiest VF.

BTW, I think VB-9's Gerwalk mode is the prettiest of all gerwalk mode.

Other VF's geralk mode come as an after thought, but VB-9 design originates from the gerwalk mode,

which is our beloved Monster.
