The convention was another big hit this year! Major thanks to everyone, cast and crew that made it happen! Tenjin also came up to me and my friend as we were setting up my Frontier Display (Thanks again Gina!) and said "So much Frontier!" I was so surprised to get a compliment (if it was one...LOL) from him that I just gave him a big grin. (I panicked!)

This was my second time Attending MW con, and its quickly shaping up to be one of the yearly events I'll always make time for.

Great convention! It was great meeting other members, Shawn, EXO, XStoys, and others who I've meet before like Aceoftherebelion. It was a great honor when I was setting up Tenjin came up to me said that the SDF-1 was very beautiful, it was funny because he asked who built it, and I was like "I did" he looked surprised I don't know why. Also thankyou to all the people who compliment me on it aswell, but anyways it was a fun time, and I'm very still jealous that I lost the live auction I really did want the drawing but as I learned in vegas you have to set a limit and stick with it. But big props to the winner, (sorry I forgot to ask your name)

And thankyou to everyone who made the con possible, and Gina for letting me display!

Hi everyone... Here's a special announcement. This has just been finalized so I'm posting ASAP. MWcon is hosting a special dinner with Tenjin as a special guest. This is a fundraising dinner and the cost is $150 per person. The dinner will be on October 4th, the night before the Convention at around 7pm in Redondo Beach. Lots of great stuff. I think all those sketches are added bonus. You even have an Adam Hughes Sheryl. Did he know who she was when he drew her? Is he Macross fan?

I actually had a reference when I requested that sketch from him. I'm pretty sure he didn't know the series or character. But I think he did an awesome job. He's an amazing artist!

Basically if you live in Japan you send it back and bill to receiver. Send in the original box but keep the hat, sunglasses, and the extra legs and arms parts. It has to be sent back within the period of 8/20-9/18, no replacement accepted after 9/18. The figures with replaced parts will be sent back to after 10/1.

Maybe there's a curse for sheryl products...first the sheryl macross f club shirts they had to recall for the funny spelling and now the dolls..lol...

BAD NEWS if your Megahouse Sheryl has been shipped to you, it has been RECALLED. Here black shorts leave really bad non-removable black marks on the lower soft plastic body. Megahouse is taking them back to replace with new shorts and replacing the torso. I'll post pics of mine it looks really bad.

yea, i was wondering if they would do that.. mine wasn't too horrible...but I was wondering what they were thinking with that vinyl shorts and a soft body doll..yea duh it will stain...but since I don't live there, it's too much trouble for me to return it. is megahouse going to do a replacement thing then? how does it work? if it's not too bad maybe i'll try and do it.

It looked much nicer than I thought it would. When I first saw pics of it during pre-order I wasn't too impressed but I'm a sucker for limited, so... But I'm definitely glad I got it...can't wait for the Ranka doll which is due out at the end of the month.

..... Minmay was not flat. At least.. Thats not how I remember her. I don't even think drawing lolis was popular then.

Mylene wasn't loli either.

Mao was loli for sure... But she wasn't the main war-altering singer, that was Sara.

if ur definition of loli is liking flat-chested/prepubescent girls, regardless of age that's true (which is probably how most define it; ex. kodomo no jikan is prob a series that most people would associate as loli)...but for me i guess the age still matters...but with anime, it of course a little more removed from reality. plus in anime the way characters interact, it makes you forget they're actually supposed to be teenagers.

As for Mylene, don't get me wrong, she's one of my favorite macross characters, but I dunno some of the official art and even the end themes my friends and dakedo baby had pretty suggestive images for someone that's supposed to be 14..that was something that really struck me when the series came out years ago when i was in highschool...then again it depends how you define loli and certainly mylene was not drawn to look child like...but she did act a little childish sometimes...

i guess with my initial post i probably should have added that for the most part every macross series has always had a young female main character, who is sometimes subject to some fan service- so perhaps loli is not the right word to use here...
