  1. Has anyone heard if NY will be getting more super parts for the rvf-25? If not, does anyone know of other sources or stores that sell the super parts set for a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  2. If Arcadia is a larger company and have more resources, what are the chances that better quality Valkyries could get produced?

Maybe quality was the wrong choice of words. What about variety of Valkyries being produced

  3. Why did BBTS have to stop carrying and selling Macross Valkyries? HLJ has the vf-171 listed as discontinued. At least when the VF-171EX was released, there was a better chance to get one through BBTS. Bandai is really making it difficult to continue purchasing their Macross product.

  4. Just checked NY and now their pre-orders are no longer available. Does Bandai really know what they are doing? At this rate they may loose another customer, as I am really considering waiting until Yamato gets the Mac F license. The bad part is that it might take a while for yamato to get the license. The good part is that the Yamato Mac F valks should be in scale with the other valkyries that Yamato has produced.

  5. Just checked the NY site and it stated that the 25g was shipped. Does anyone know how fast EMS shipping takes? Is it the same as for HLJ? Or different?

  6. Hey Everyone!?!?!?! Beause of the Bandai Macross fiasco, I am not able to acquire a VF-25G through normal channels, HLJ, BBTS. I have read that more and more MW members are utilizing Nippon-Yasan. My question is, how are they in terms of business practices? I went to their website and I was not able to find a section that has comments from shoppers. Also have the people on the MW board who have ordered the "limited" Macross items from Bandai received the items from nippon yasan in a reasonale time frame? Thanks for the repsones in advance.

  7. Wow ..... this isnt right!?!?!?!?! ..... I missed this pre-order batch. What would the chances be that the VF-25g DXs would be like the VF-171 in that HLJ had extras when released? The reason why I am asking is that I was able to order a VF-171 right after it was released.

  8. I just checked th NY website for the VF-25G and it did say "in Stock". I scrolled down the page further and it said "Pre-order, send September 2012". Is it possible that the "pre-order" is in stock and not the actual product?

  9. I just looked at HLJ and there still was a "order stop" status listed. Like others on the board, I am about ready no longer pruchase Bandai Mac F Valks and wait until Yamato aquires the Mac F license and produces valks. This is just plain stupid. I am almost positive that Bandai is well aware of the Macross fan base (I would use fandom, however after all the RT stuff, fandom sounds more like a cult - sorry) in other countries besides japan. I dont understand why the shortages. Dont they monitor market trends? Any one of the execs could go to sites like HLJ or AmiAmi and see that the oreds have sold completely. Sorry for the rant, but its getting really old really quick.

  10. Hey everyone,

I have been reading alot of the threads and I have a few questions. In regardes to the scales of the valkyries. Do both companies utilize the same scale references? Also have Yamato and bandai ever taken a look at each others work? The reason why I am asking is that both companies state that the toys are the same scale, however, I see many inconsistancies. The best example I can site are the pilot figures. Yamato's figures look larger then Bandai's. Thank you in advance for the information.

  11. It's not counter productive, because if Bandai does make this another small run, the retailers don't want to overshoot their preorders, and run into the problems we've seen already with pissing customers off with unfulfilled orders. Until they get confirmation on numbers, they're probably underestimating the numbers they'll get. If it turns out that high numbers will be made, the retailers will be able to open the preorders up accordingly.

Wouldnt a company like Bandai have a better idea of how many to produce based on how many preorders retailers collect?

  12. If it is really the retailers just playing it safe, wouldnt that be counter productive? Arent the Macross Valkyries usually great sellers?

On that same note, is Bandai aware that there are quite a few Macross fans in the states? Wouldnt that get someone to take notice that Macross is a viable product? I dont understand this rationing of Macross stock. With the secondary market taking control of the bulk of stock, Bandai stands to loose more then gain in terms of profit.

  13. The retailer I contacted said they are always requesting additional stock from Bandai, especially the Valkyries. Bandai just don't seem to care about additional supplies for stores that ship internationally. That goes for Sentai, Kamen Rider and Tiger and Bunny too.

Knowing that this is selling really well, wouldnt that prompt bandai to take a look at the numbers and increase production supplies, or are they having a case of gundam tunnerl vision?
