Hi.. been sometime since the last 1/48 yamato macross valkyrie amd bandai valkyries.
Will be making a trip down to Hong kong next mth and was wondering how is the supply of macross toys in Hong currently.
What are the 1/48s that are still available in the market and at what price.
Other types of macross toys also.
Maybe the Folks in HK can help.
thanks

So when will the decals be ready for sale?
-
38 pieces so far excluding those who intend to buy one.
I tink the actual figure might be close to 50 maybe
-
A quick internet search gives the length of the Flagg toy as 7-8 feet. A Nimitz class carrier is 1092 feet, so if we assume the Flagg is supposed to be that big in real life, the scale would be 1/136.5 to 1/156. Call it 1/144 if you want a common scale.
thanks!
1/144.. that means those Doyusha 1/44 diecast vlaks will look just nice on something like that
-
Ooops. Sorry
I don't know how to amend the polls
I knwe th movie version SDF-1 existed
But I thought it was a resin kit or something?
by yellow sub?
And is the scale 1/4000? or 1/3000?
And it lloks fabulous! makes the 1/3000 matchbox looks like schoolboy toys hehe
-
What a wanker. He just used the G.I. Joe U.S.S. Flagg aircraft carrier toy for the background ("diorama").
*LAME*
Any idea whats the scale of the aircraft carrier?
seems big but I don't think its even 1/100 yet

The green looks way too light... it oughta be like hunter green, but that looks almost lime green!
Wasnt really playing attention to the valkyrie that was on sale
But more of the backdrop and the setting.
hehe

Saw this on ebay..
Pretty nice.

Belong to any1 here?

owner of the takatoku one, but i wouldn't consider it to by my holy grail..cos as huge as it may be..but it's seriously lacking in details.
i thought that during the interview graham had with yamato, it was mentioned that yamato would not rule out the possiblity of an SDF-1?
hmm.. lets hope so.. btu I tot yammie is pulling the plugs on most fo the macross stuff?
Alot of lucky guys here who bought the sdf-1 when they were young and at its original price....
Talking about lack fo details. I saw on anotehr thread. new decals being done up. maybe that will help abit
-
To me, any collection won't be complete until you have the SDF-1 but don't yamato is gona do us a fav. so would like to see how many of you guys actually have this "holygail" to your collection. Thanks
-
Looking for the SDF-1
Prefer it with box, stickers applid/unapplied.
Must be in good working condition. joints tight etc.
Kindly pm with quote
Many thanks

All naked
-
hey..
isnt that bad. considering tis $12.. cant really get the original valks are this price I must say.
Anyway for the bootlegs, the bottom right corner of the box in front actually shows the face of the pilot while the original bandai one shows a bandai logo.
Should be able to tell the diff next time

Regrading the Conversion kit if there will be one.
I was wondering how much modeling or customising skill does it require on the buyer's part?
As far as I've read. there seem to be quite a few changes to be made to the original valk. and also we would have to change the original color to orange.
Kindly advise if Im wrong
thanks
-
looks great!
I like the miniture character figures you have in front of each valk?
Where are this figures from?
looks like the bonus figure from this Arri 1/100 model kits I have sometime back.
But those didnt come painted, I guess you did a great job painting it!

Hey
is that a MG Gundamm Zeta???
-
Whats the difference between the DRYL and TV version?
Ay1 care to enlighten?
thanks
-
btw I tried to search for comparision pics or previous threads but failed to find any..
Okay, here are some useful threads:
Hey
thanks for the link!
It seems that the pods are similar to the milla Qau which looks better displayed beside a 1/48 yammie than 1/60 despite it being closer to 1/60 or 1/55.
It does look quite bad beside a yammie.
haha
-
Its true it looks bad beside a yammie. Cant really blame them since it was produced years ago. besides we do have much of a choice nw. I seriously don't see yamato coming up with these enemy figures within the next 1 year*I may be wrong). btw I tried to search for comparision pics or previous threads but failed to find any..
-
I kinda understand what you think..
i have been comtemplating getting a regult pod myself(a officer or normal one).
I think the only choices we have are the matchbox pods released quite sometime back.
Im not sure whats the scale of those things.
but think it will look quite decent beside a 1/60. maybe too small beside a 1/48
Any of you guys actually have them and display your yammies pr bandais
with the matchbox regults?
Im think it will look quite nice..

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...c=7627&hl=sdf-1
there is a previous thread similar to the one you saw
The box and scruplt is the same
The only difference is the colour on some parts.
The saw you saw seems more original as the other one which is definitely a bootleg
I believe the scale is similar
at 1/5700.
1/48 yammie in HK?! where?
