What kind of paint is used and how durable is it?
It looks absolutely beautiful!
-Kyp
Used Mr Surfacer Lacquer primer, main paints were enamels, lacquers and Future acrylic clear coats, tough combo. YF-19 parts fit very well with very minimal paint scraping, so it transforms fine but of course you should take it slowly.
The toughest part of the YF-19 transformation is seperating the 2 main nose parts, to make it easier you can just cut off those 2 tiny inner tabs , they turned out to be useless since the 2 parts lock in place fine without them.

Here it is finished! The Yamato 1/60 YF-19 works very well for customs. Sqidd came up with the scheme and I think it turned out fantastic. Enjoy the pics:
I'm still open to commissions, so if you are interested please PM me!

I know this thing isn't complete, but the starboard v-stab light should match the starboard wing (blue) light.
I don't know, all reference pics I examined showed them as red, it's strange. But if someone could find a pic showing otherwise post it.

they are waterslide decals, you soak them in water then place them onto the model. They are better then the sticker sheet that comes with the yamatos because they are a lot thinner.
