The books this movie is based on seems to be something of a trilogy. So they compressed 3 books into the span of 90 minutes which makes the plot seem rushed.

Im looking for an MS in mechatronics, and the only places available to me in the USA have high tuition, and the chance of getting a scholarship is not that good. I also feel discomfort studying in the USA since a lot of people around me are anti-intellectual.

Im also considering Germany, since I have relatives there, and I could possibly continue working for my employer there.

I suppose the basic idea is to get as far away from the USA for my masters degree, so that I can probably come out of it without a lifetime's worth of debt.

As I understand it, the film was a joint US-Japanese studio production; hence, the use of the man-in-a-rubber-suit technology, by then a staple of the Japanese monster-movie industry. If you're gonna make a giant monster movie with dudes in suits, you may as well go to the best!

So since Tatsunoko has the international rights to SDF Macross, about how much money does HG pay to them. Is it a percentage of the profits or just a licensing fee?

Related to that, does anyone ever think Tatsunoko will ever end their business relationship with HG?

Even if they ended their business arrangement, HG still has rights to the Macross trademark.
