Yellow Sub Ball Joints Review

This is a follow up to a review that Fulcy posted a while back. It tried to search for the original thread but failed to find it. Here's a link to his review on his site though:

As you'll be able to see Yellow Submarine has added a couple of new useful joints to their roster since that review. The ones I decided to try out are the standard ball/socket joints, the double ball/socket joints, and the double hinge joints.

The regular ball joints are the ones that fulcy first reviewed, but they released some more different sizes sold as singles not as sets in sprues. As fulcy stated, these ball joints are super durable and super tight. They'll be able to hold up poses better than the usual Wave or Kotobukiya ball joints. Those other brands would surely buckle with heavier resin pieces.

The only disadvantages to these are they are so tight that you have to know exactly when to pop them together because it's almost always impossible to pry them apart after that. They are completely paintable and should hold up to scratches even after they are assembled.

Here are the instructions they come with. If you can't read Japanese the pictures are all you need to show you how they are used.

Oh yeah, props to Howard/Bariaburu Faita who snagged these for me. These sell out pretty quickly and the ones that are not on the sprues are not even offered by HLJ. And the ones they do have on their site have been backordered for a while now. hopefully Yellow Sub continue to make these cuz they seem to be wildly popular in Japan.

Thanks Howard!
