  1.

Would be nice to share that Facebook link. ;)

It wasn't a link to any official site, just a post. That's why I mentioned I can't confirm the accuracy of the report. I figured one of you all would have better sources to check. If I see something official, I'll let you know.

  2. Just saw a post over on Facebook that POs for the armor open on the 10th. Can't confirm at the moment.

  3. Can't say enough good things about Mandarake, everything I've gotten from them is well packed and in great shape. Many of the things they claim as a damaged package is better than you'd get at retail. The one thing to keep in mind with them is their limited shipping options. Expect to be paying for EMS or similar for anything you purchase. They do sometimes offer small package SAL, but the pricing doesn't seem to much off that for EMS. Great for bigger packages, but it can be a major price increase for smaller items.

I've always thought that "Armoured Packs" turn a Valk into the Macross equivalent of a Mobile-Armour...

but that's also why I like the Armoured Fighter Modes... a big, F-off star-fighter that can dump it's 0-G armour/gear and immediately become aerodynamic enough for atmospheric combat appeals to me.

10 years ago, I would have loved this design. I think, as I get older, I've become more of a minimalist. I'll say though, my wallet is super happy I'm not getting this one. I've put that poor thing through a lot the past month!

If I didn't know better, looking at these pics, I would have thought this was some new Gundam, not a Valk. For as pretty as the 31 is normally, this is just so over the top that I don't  find it a compelling buy other than for completness. That said, I'd love to see this redesigned into a new destroid. Totally remove the sleek VF elements and replace them with a foot base and body meant to support all those heavy weapons (big and bulky) and it would be a cool successor to the Cheyenne II.

  6. Depends on the Valk. I transformed my vf-25F immediately, just to see it in the different forms, then back to fighter for display. My RVF-25, however, I never transformed, as I really only like the fighter mode, though I suspect I'll have to eventually partially transform it to put the supers on once I make enough shelf space for the full display (fighter+ghosts). The two I've had the hardest time picking a mode for have been my vf-19 and my 31C, as I'm a big fan of all three modes and I don't have three of either!

  7. Hello fellow collectors! The title says it all, short of the almost impossible to find unpainted YF-19, I just need the VF-19A (the blue one), to round out my collection. Been hoping one would pop on Mandarake or the Jungle, but I haven't seen one in quite some time. If you have one you're looking to part with please let me know. Many thanks!

Arcadia never really have any po-madness shenanigans.

It'll prolly have a 12-months-after-release-date "madness", but never a po-madness in recent memory.

    The po-madness shenanigans is totally a Bandai-thing.

Good to know. This is my first Arcadia, I had been out of the game since the v1 Yammies. Been catching up on the DX's, but most of the PFs coming out have been too pricey.

My suggestion would be to price it at the average ebay selling price.

That way you have some room to "haggle" on the price.  Your minimum selling price should be the YJA average price plus the additional proxy fees and shipping costs to get the item actually delivered to your home country.

That's what I was thinking. I don't mind giving a good deal, but I don't want to go so low that I end up seeing my valk on someone else's table at a 50% markup!

  10. Looking for some opinions... If you were taking your valks or other Macross collectibles to sell at a toy show (in the US), would you price them based off of winning auctions from YJA or would you price closer to winning auctions/buy it now off of eBay? For example, I was looking at the price for a G1 Yamato Elintseeker, and it looks like it goes for around $60 on YJA, but I'm seeing sold prices averaging out around $140 on eBay. I'm guessing that the disparity in price is due simply to the fact that there are fewer of these on YJA, so the eBay prices tend to trend higher, and/or the condition of the item. Thanks for your input!

  11. From the Amiami listing:

    Sales Period Jul 27, 2018, 02:00 ~ Japan Time

Does that mean it goes on sale at 2pm Japan time, or is the website smart enough to tell you when it goes on sale in your time zone?

Any news about the release of the 31C fastpacks from any of the online retailers? Nothing from NY so far

Got my shipping notice from Big in Japan about an hour ago.

Nice, congrats. I may get the one I bought from recon today :) it’s out for delivery but I may not be around for the mail person.

    commoooooon usps

I wish you, and everyone else still waiting, the best of luck!

I am interested to see if it comes in the shipper box or not. With all the issues around this release, I wonder if NY is getting their stock directly from Bandai, or if they're starting to go through "other channels".
