I won a lot of parts, and in sorting them out I came across two small valks, that seem to match up with the pictures of Takatoys Paro toys in the MW Toys section. They are about 2 inches tall in battroid mode. One has a VF-1S head and has JAPAN written on the underside of the body. The other has a VF-1J head and no writting at all. The 1J seems to be of a lesser quality plastic as well. Can anyone give me more info on these? Are they real, bootlegs, or something else entirely?

Grr, for some reason I can't post pics directly. Here is a link to both:

So what do I have?

Odds are they are both convertors. The one on the right definitely is. And I don't know about the one on the left. These were made from the Takatoku Paro molds, so that's why they are similiar.

The Convertors re-release has JAPAN stamped behind the chest, so I would say that the blank one is some sort of other bootleg. Also, Convertors never released a VF1J, only four versions of the VF1S. Hikaru, Fokker, Millia, and Max.

The original Takatoku version has a Big West copyright and other Japanese writing along with the < TT > Takatoku Toys symbol.
