My first custom, need some advice

Lone Wolf

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of making a little custom job on a 1/60 VF-1S. Nothing big just

painting over the yellow highlights on Roy's valk with grey color, for this will be

a Wolf squadron commander's fighter. Main difference will be in the stickers, which

will be custom made of course, by Anasazi I hope if he and I can make an agreement.

Also I want to know if Games Workshop acrylic colors used for painting Warhammer minis are good for painting yamato valks?

Also what would be the best method of removing these colors if I make a mess?

As for stickers I intend to put a grey wolf's head on the chest plate, as well as

the tails, although bellow the wolf's head on a tail, there will be also a ARMD 02

sign since Wolf squadron was based on the Armor 02 before it was destroyed and then transfered to SDF-1 prior to space fold. I was thinking of making ARMD 02 and the w. head a same sticker, it would be easier this way for puting on the tail.

I was thinking something along the lines of these:

wolf's head (with wings on the chestplate, w/o on the tails):

which one is better?

(just loose the red star on this one)

Also I thought of having WOLFPACK (popular nickname for the Wolf Squadron) stickers in white letters on the upper side of the wings right on the black line that goes in the middle of them.

Also I would like to put ALPHA stickers (black letters) on the chest plate over the

intakes. Alpha because the leader of the wolf pack is called alpha male.

I was thinking of putting markings on the sides of the cockpit bellow the name of

the pilot (ups, forgot to say that I want a name stickers with Lone Wolf on them

for the pilot's name) ie. the ordinary ones, like a fence, you put down when

playing cards, 4 vertical lines and one horizontal. Two of these on every side of

the cockpit, not to big, but not to little.

I've exhausted my idea pool for now, so if you have some I can use, don't hesitate

to post. AND don't cheapskate on comments. I want positive and negative feedback on this ASAP.
