Perparing my check list making sure everything is okay in this old girl. Checking switches, making sure that dang radar is in working order. She taken alot of hits during this blasted war. But she stayed airborned, not once I personally came close to punch out. Never once. She has got me home. Maybe on a wing and a prayer but she has always gotten back to the Enterprise. My Name is Joshua Allan Wood. Major Wood, haha yeh. I get enought jokes about that within my own squadron. Oh yeh, I forgot about my squadron. Where pertty much the last of the United State Marine Corp Speical Operation Squadron. My squadron is called the Gray Ghost, VMFA-531. Two Tone grays. I know this morning is going to be hell. Why? because that freaking deck alarm scream up to life. My Squadron of only six are ready to launch. "Brian? Did you get thought damn check list yet?" As I call over the two way to my second in command. Captain Brian "Steves" Steven. "Piff, yeah I got thought the damn thing... What the hell is going on Blackjack? Are we underattack again? which isn't new you know. Where still going to kick there asses." Brian speaks over the com back to me. I shake my head and give just a smile. " Just more BS for the morning. My guess them Anit's are brothering one of the supplie ships. That was my report from the Major Tomlin. " "Ahh.... I see..." Brian replys. Yes, my callsign is Blackjack. How I get the name wasn't so easy. I was the only fighter in the sky during a harsh attack against USS Enterprise, USS Nimbus, USS Saratoga and USS Iowa Jima. 21 fighters they counted. My order was simple. Take them out or there going to take us out. I have never personally taken down that many fighters and attack chopper in my life. 21 in total. And all I was down to. Was my GAU 20mm Valcan nose gun. In history, I was only fighter pilot who could taken that many down in one day. But that is another story. This one I want to talk about. This is the story where the Ghost would face the worst fighter of them all.... The Russain/Isreal Built SU-51. That why I said this day is going to be hell.... TO BE CONTINUED <OH HI!!
