How did I miss this post?? It's only now that I've stumbled upon this 3 years later when I went and did an image search of the Yamato Macross Helmets on Google.

Oh well, there's only one of these made.

I wonder what the current market value are for these customs? There is probably only a dozen of these floating around.

I didn't realize he sold any, I put a deposit down and then the project got cancelled. I never asked for my money back because I thought he got shut down pre-production and was out a bunch of cash. That's lame.
Well the Crash Test yellow jm 2.0 was initially ebayed before he took orders for the project. The crash test didn't come with the fast packs, but he was able to make few Vf-1js with fast packs before it was shut down or maybe he produced a few before taking orders for the project. I'm not clear what caused it to be shut down, but it was probably HG sending a cease and desist letter. And that was the last I heard.
Maybe someone else on the forum knows more about it. I know I placed my name on the list, but he didn't take any deposits on the second list.

Looking at Rhoby's site, it looks like there were only 12 total made back in 2005. I was under the impression more were made, I remember that there was a lot of interest in JM 2.0. If I recall correctly, the crash test was ebayed for less than $200 back in 2005. Were there ever any pictures of the blue one floating around?

If anyone is still interested in buying the 1/48 Thunder Hammer kit, I'm considering to sell mine. PM me for price.
PM sent.

I didn't get the WF version, I had someone in Japan order online from Yamato's website. They got lucky and the order went through.
Rick Dieck: I'm not sure what you meant by permanent (as in permanent marker?). I have to someday check and compare it to my low-vis ver. 1. It's sitting in a basement somewhere. I haven't taken either one of them out of their boxes.

I got mine sent to me pretty quickly. It cost me about only $262 to get it. So happy that I didnt get it through ebay.

Sorry, I didnt record where the all the figures sat in the boxes, but chase Max were both located in the left side. One was second from the rear, the other was second from the front.

I purchased 2 boxes, but all the minmays look the same. When I shine a light on all 4, there are varying degrees that the light shines through her hair. None looks that clear. Maybe its just a case of bad quality control. On the other hand, I did get 2 of the chase Max figures.

Awesome! Put me on the list of interested buyers.

I bought it several years ago, just when I was getting into Macross toys. Saw it on ebay and knew that I had to have it. I think I got this just prior to 9/11/01 cause I remember grabbing it from my office and waking all the way home with it in my bag. Let me tell you its not fun walking 10-15 miles in work shoes. I wonder who purchased the last one that was up on ebay that had a reserve price of $1000.

Thanks for the advice, I snapped the hinge trying to keep the backpack from falling back due to the extra weight of the fast packs. I guess I'll buy some krazy glue ans see what I can do to fix it.
