  1. Tancist, is that like the same as getting deported to Siberia  ? - MT

Well, maybe :) It was planning as soviet produced serial EVA, not so glamourus, rusty, dirty, and with Longinus Shovel in hands

Tancist, I'm not sure I get the joke, but it's a welcome sight to see an Eva in a more military paintscheme than, say purple. Looks good. ^_^

Andijan is placed in Uzbekistan, it's something like "Far-far away kingdom", like New Zealand for american, for example. I don't know about traditions in others armys, but russian solders like, when they are demobee from army, in their last days of serving (it's old tradition) - make something funny, maybe stupid, to be remembered in memory of next soldiers. Usually they left there names (or nicks of friend's brigade) on old tanks, walls, cars, on weapons. It's normal to go into army warehouse in the cover of night to steal something made from brass, or colored plastic, maybe trafficator from BMP. There a lot of superfluous quantity of them, and it's just a funny adventure. From them soldiers make souvenirs, gift for friens, or any parade elements on uniform. So the text about "I was demobilize in 1988, city Andijaan" is something special for any russian soldier.

    Crazy Ivans, yeah B))

  2. Actually, it was just a "Super VF-1J" - old Arii-Imai kit in Bandai's rebox, was bought on HLJ's Christmas sale for 7$. I decided to make it in Gerwalk form, and with removable hands (no any word in instruction about gerwalk form, or hand parts, only "build the plane").

Max Genius plane. painted by Tamiya colors (first try of them, very good) unsted of my usual DuPont enamels. Nose was rebuilded cause of it's original crude proportions. As final - snap placed on Hasegawa "Macross Stand". Hope, you will like it.

Now they can play together :)

If someone interesting, moar photos of processing can be found in my livejournal.

  3. If you can toss me the subs for 1 and 2 it'd be keen, I technically have 1 finished, but 2 still has to be merged and it is a pain in the rear end. I basically redid "Fleet of Strongest Women" by hand off of a psycorps script, and am pretty proud of it, but I could take a look at that one too, see if I'm missing anythng.

As I said, for now the series is subbed except for encore 2, in the next few days I'll be giving the scripts a once over, as well as scrubbing the ones that VIP released for consistent naming.

Also if anyone has a list of ranks and what they SHOULD be, I can see if it's not too hard to fix them all.

I'm also looking for scripts for all of the omake, I have it all as part of the torrent, and I think they would be cool to have subbed. PsyCorps has scripts for about half of them, though timing would have to e done by hand, and that takes a while. The omake are about 5 minutes each, tops, and if there are no scripts, maybe we can get some forum members together to get them done. Sadly my listening comprehension isn't where it needs to be yet, but soon, it will be.

    All 3 subs in 1 pack - http://rapidshare.com/files/225866027/Macross_7_Encore.rar

    Enjoy!

  4. Ok, almost done, having spent time on this that I clearly should not have. Anyways, I noticed in that RAR that the subs for "Fleet of Strongest Women" is not there. Does ANYONE have this sub? It's the last thing that I'm missing in getting this whole shebang done. It'd really suck to have to do it by hand, and honestly, I'm not sure I could w/o a script at this point.

Are you still need them? I've got subs for all "Macross 7 Encore" movies, but haven't got for Macross 7 Dynamite, only old hardsubbed version. I can share this subs, if you need.

Oh Shiii~ baby I really want that kit!

Does Luca's Ghosts have any visual differences between evil red one Ghost from Macross Plus, or a Battle Galaxy defenders Ghosts fleet? And can I build an Alto plane (maybe, using an epoxy putty and some sandwork) from Luca's? It has head only for this type?

I really want these pretty 3 Ghosts (even only one, just for collection) and VF-25 (in one box, about 65$ for all of this  ), but another one VF-25 except Luca's - I dislike his character and don't wanna his stupid green AWAKS plane. Or maybe I should better search anyone selling his Ghosts from this kit on ebay or somewhere else?

  6. Got one of it on workbench, Fokker's VF-1S. Currently now I am building Arii's Super Gerwalk kit, blue Max's fighter, but after it I'll do this pretty transforming kit. I don't show yet my Macross models to other modellers except my closest friends from Livejournal. I'd like to start showing it from classical Roy's Jolly Roger plane, cause Robotech was shown in Russia in early 1990-s on TV, and except anime-fans, everybody make a puzzled face trying to remember WTF is that "Macuros". But, when I show them kit with Fokker's plane - everyone smiling, while returning to their happy childhood where Rik Hunter with Roy were flying together from TV :)

I opened this kit firstly from my HLJ's box, and was surprised it's policarps joints, in usual time I built experimental WWII planes from very crude kits like vacuum-formed plates. And - all this tranformings, moving parts... I can't believe that this kit was produced in 1980-s. Like I missed the last train and don't know how to reach proper destination. I think, on next HLJ's sale I'll buy another one of this kit, maybe even two.

  7. Hey man, thanks for posting - its always good to see something new (especially old school kits) The kit as is is great but I reckon a good rattlecan flat clear coat would do wonders. It''l even out your brush marks and really make the work you have done shine.

Emmmm, it's all airbrushed except black stripes on legs, and I used Vallejio acrylic varnish, but it's first time I use it, and somewhere it's too much varnish looked like brush marks

  8. Miria's device, from TV series. About 12$ from HLJ.com

Have some problems with it's hips, cause there no policarps joints, and direct plastic frictions make it rather unstable. But it's a good kit, about 20 cm height warmachine with sexy pilot :)

Next will be Bandai's SDF-1 1/8000 kit, come soon as possible!

  9. Looking good! I didn't think that kit would come even halfway close to looking right in that mode. I think there might be a bit of proportion problem between the "arms" length and "legs" lengths. It looks to me that the bicep area of the arms may be a bit too long.

All in all it is looking surprisingly good and you are doing some great work on it! Keep it up!

It' all the magic power of rasp file )

Yep, biceps little longer then they should be, but I just try to save their maneuver ability. And there is 3-4 different schemes of SDF-1, vary in dimensions of Daedalus and Prometheus. So, it's seems not a big trouble.

The main problem now is width of main cannon, so I forced to use a lot of plastic to make it wider.

I have try to finish this model before 22 february, but don't have enough time. So next photos will be with primered model, and then I will think about it's stand.
