  1. Ozma: "All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the SMS! A day in the SMS is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the SMS!"

Klan Klan: "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

Hey, maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked, pal!

  2. I say we switch over to British names for our vessels.

States and cities and politicians are not suitable for a ship of the line.

Agamemnon, Warspite, Black Prince, and Onslaught...compared to Texas, Lincoln, Sullivan Brothers, and Atlanta?

Hey, hey, hey TEXAS is a damned fine name for a ship.

    Indeed. B))

  3. ANyone have success finding an alternator wheeljack here in the states  ? I've been making daily trips to my local walmart, target, and toys r us on the way home from work. Lucky me  .

I got one yesterday at a Target in Mansfield, TX(just outside of Dallas). They also had the RX-8 Shockwave.

  4. I thought the current Australian was a totally new airline, unrelated to the previous one.

PS---no "airplane vs" topic is as heated as Airbus vs Boeing. :) That's just asking for trouble on a lot of forums. Of course, my answer is always MDC, but most people know the REAL answer is Lockheed and automatically exclude it. The Constellation was so awesome some airlines kept them around a few years instead of buying jets (or at least, not as many jets). And the Tristar is still the best and most advanced airliner ever. There's more to a plane than the cockpit, it's the other systems that really show technology. Only airliner with an all-moving tailplane. And the same DLC as the Tomcat. And an auto-land better than any 777 etc.

The last couple L-1011s that Delta was flying were a POS. They broke down constantly and every time you pushed one back it left parts behind. That airplane caused me alot of late nigts due to mechanical delays.

  5. A couple people in my classes work at Lockheed in Ft worth and they said the jsf is still overweight by like 1000 lbs. They are taking every suggestion on ways to get the weight off. One of my teachers that worked at lockheed had to quit because of problems he was dealing with on the F-22.
