Just to note, the magazine on the gunpod will be the standard gunpod magazine, not the beam adaptor, so should be grey, not orange.
Graham
Graham,
will the intake covers be removable on the 17?

Photos of the breakages attached.

that makes me sick to my stomach. i love my yf-19. one of my favorite yammies
-
that dude is terrible. right out of the gate i wanna punch him
-
aka the Yamato version lol.
 ...yes
-
It's a mirrored image
LOLOL...aw man. i'm just gonna go to bed
-
that's freakin wicked. bought. cannot wait. pardon my ignorance but, is the 17 featured with two gunpods in the anime?
-
Some fine images of the Super-Gundam-Fast-Strike-Pack:
i just don't understand why it needs the grappling hooks

this photo set just shows how posaballistic the battroid mode on this thing is. awesome.

you have total control over how far out you pull the ankles, there are several potential lengths. If you're not going for a crazy pose you can have the ankles recessed so they don't look spindly. For gerwalk and more dynamic poses you'd go bigger. I think I had the feet on mine recessed for the line art comparison.
thanks man, guess i'm going to have to order it now.

I'm in the same boat. I made some comments before about a V2 1/48 VF-1... after handling this toy I'd be even more eager to see that.
jenius (or anyone who cares to chime in), in most of the photos i have seen the ankles appear very spindly. i know they are diecast so i'm sure they are structurally fine. it just seems like the gap between the feet and the bottom of the leg is very big. is it really that bad in person?
-
they've been less than awesome for a lot of other people.
that and amiami has it for 232 usd
-
@ff95gj: I agree with every thing you say. I don´t like my YF-19, I actually love it like a member of my family lol. But IMO thats only the secondary reasons, for me the YF-19 and Isamu are the ultimate tribute to freedom of spirit, to the adventurers and to the pioneers, cause lets face it Macross as a series is awesome, but Macross Plus is just epic.
Buuuuuuuuut, I´m drooling over these, damn is a master piece of engineering, I regret so much I preordered the YF-29 from amiami instead.
i absolutely could not agree more.

without crystal visor/eyes no perfect toy so we have to wait for the blazer for the best toy of macross universe
i'm still not sure. in certain pics they seem to be translucent. in in the new photos (just posted) the eyes appear to be painted.
Graham, are the eyes translucent or painted?

lack of removable intake covers. Not a deal breaker, but a sad omission.
i agree if that's the case. but do we have confirmation they aren't removable? before it was released (and right up until release) i remember never being able to find images of the llB with the intake covers removed.

wow! look at those pics of them holding it up by the wing or nosecone! Fantastic.
so snap! from shizouka. video demo of the kai! he only transforms it to gerwalk though

I voted the Monster, since I'm pretty sure the VF-17 is already covered. I have my new AT-AT sit next to me right now BTW, and I don't see why Yamato couldn't produce a 1/60 Destroid Monster. Granted Hasbro produces hundreds of thousands of AT-AT's, but the construction is cheap and sturdy and I doubt the Monster would be as tall.
as incredibly cool as the at-at is it doesn't transform. i can't imagine how much a yammie of that size with a 3 mode conversion would cost. it would have to be made out of much sturdier materials to handle the transformations.

Yes, a variable fighter with different wings than previous ones marks the end of Macross.
OH NOEZ!!1!! DEY BE KILLIN TEH LIEN!!!11!!

trust me, it's virgin-tight. I dunno, maybe it was designed for the bar to pop in, not out. I tried pushing straight up, I tried twist and shout..errr..I mean, push....the only thing I accomplish is a nasty, creaking sound and stress marks around the centre plastic.
But I believe u can drill holes at the sides and push the pin out, except I dun have any drills with me...
did you try using a drop of teflon or small dab of wd40? it can really help with friction. seems like you've tried everything but thought i'd throw it out there.
maybe buy a tiny brass punch (generally used in gunsmithing) and a small vice. then try tapping it out. just another idea...
-
Just to share; pic of the metal bar which has been installed backwards on my VF-0S
and the rather stubborn end of the metal:
god, that suuuuuuuuuuucks you had to do all that

1/60 SV-51
in Toys
It was easily remedied by turning the screws back out. Then gripping the halves together while re-tightening everything.
could you possibly go into more detail about this remedy or post a couple of pics? i would be very interested in more detail

Very true, I would have bought another if they were fixed. Mine is either in the Box or on display in Fighter only next to Shins 0A!! Not sure if Yamato wants to fix & reissue these, or they just don't know how to solve the problem....
sadly my nora has extremely floppy wings. if i flip it upside down they just give up. i'd love to know how to fix it
-
Sadly I found that mine also has a gimped foot last night...
well how awesome is that?...that's three mw'ers with gimped 0s feet. anyone else?
i haven't heard of this particular problem before
Would Yamato or Bandai ever make a Ghost?
