  1. I believe Ley is already late which bodes well for people hoping Beagle was going to make some changes rather than just swap the gauntlet and call it a day. Then again, there are many reasons for possible delays and I would still consider any fixes a delightful surprise.

hey jenus -thanx for closing YET another one of my bartley threads ...your being a bit of a post nazi, dude..ive been waiting 20+ years for mospeada variables...and visiting this site on and of since 1999!!!

i see all kinds of redundant non sci-fi related topics that you don't close!!!!!...whats the big fuggin deal with having a poll for a megahouse bartley???????????

you yourself set the criteria for the poll..and it contained the questions YOU suggested..than u close it????

    - no wonder nobody visits these board anymore <_<

  2. Hey novaflo,

You know me, a variable bike obsessive. While I am THOROUGHLY disappointed by the CMs MOSPEADA bikes, I think that the issue with how fugly the Bartley one looks with the exposed forks isn't their fault. This is simply a design element of the bike itself. Look at the original design art. It's the type of thing that looks ok in the cartoon, but just doesn't translate well to toys. The Bartley has no handguard parts (which become the should parts in armor mode), so the forks are exposed.

Even if you look at the Beagle (which I was hoping would come up with some novel solution to this problem, like a flipdown internal cover), these forks are exposed and look bad (relatively speaking).

yes indeed a challange based on line-art too reality issue...but at least the beagle has the forks line right up too the handlebars...with CMs..the handlebars are on the tank which worsens the look furthur. <_<

...at least with the cm shinobu the camera hides a bit of this on one side. ^_^

yet, dispite the fuglyness:..the day the red and dark bartley came..i lit up like a christmas tree!!!!!

so, megahouse your turn..make us proud!!!:ph34r::rolleyes:

  3. I also vote for the rupee. I also think we should have the option to throw an older valk into the secret fairy pond in exchange for a newer, better valk.

actually an awsome idea.. i would prefer too buy used yamato's that i can be certain are QC free..+ cheeper!

  4. I believe this thread always gets locked because it falls under the scope of the existing Mospeada thread. If it could survive on its own, I think you should do it poll style.

Do you want a Mega House Bartley Ride Armor:

    1) No, Ride Armor toys aren't cool

    2) No, Ride Armor toys aren't cool3) Yes!

i understand..yet had trouble setting up the poll...looks o.k. now!

    thanx and sorry for confusion.

  5. Honestly not to offend but who cares?? I know it is far cheaper but I would rather just save up and wait for the Beagle. I already have the Stick and I refuse to settle for a lesser standard ride armor. Granted the Beagle is the first one I have owned since the original small ones, but still from what I've read the Megahouse ones are ok but not great.

    ...no offence whatsoever-

it's kinda like elvis or beatles collectables..i might already own a bronze elvis mug or a beatles cereal bowl caddie...but there is an insatable drive too obtain as many items as possible of said franchise.

if there were 12 companies making different variable mospeadas..as a life long fan i would naturally like too scoop them up.

BtW ...i plan on owning no less than 3 copies of BEAGLEs Bartley..and 3 shinobu's too boot!

im just a variable bike JUnKIE!!!!

and more over...megahouse claimed they were producing Bartley type..and i'll be d@mned if i let it slip away without a comment!

  6. hey all,

    - what are the smallest variable out there for macross??

    >>>i thought i saw some that were no bigger than a quarter!!!

    -bandai variable gashpons? .......any good?

    -banapresto?

any pics or info most welcome!

  7. hello all...

i attempted a post about this toy a few weeks ago;and accidently posted twice..the mods closed BOTH threads.woops!

    >>>hopefully this topic falls well within the "anime or science fiction"criteria.

IF you like mospeada...please drop a quick line; too support the cause that is: Megahouse Bartley type!!!

Personally...i think the bike design will pose a mojor challange to the sculpt team for this toy compared too the other 3 mospeada types..

notice the treatment(cop-out) that CM's used for thier bartley/shinobu types..the bike looks quite fugly with the exposed forks and empty space of the front cowling..yuk(but better than nothing).

So, is megahouse working on this?..or just vaporware so they could sell the first 3 similar bikes and run off with the loot.

any ideas,commments,info,pics,speculation,inuendos,b.s.,rude comments, posts of any type WELCOME!!!

    thanks in advance

  8. I agree, I have yet to have any major QC issues with the 13 or so yamatos I have, never had a real issue with any of them. I like to play and mess around with my toys

well i have only 3 yamato toys ..and two of them had problems/breakages....right out of the fuggin box! the 3rd was used off eBay...lucky me.

...so i certainly don't know what too expect when a new one arrives <_<

i thnk i will prefer too buy USED yamato's in the future...that way i can confirm that the items' not QC case.

..misb should mean: MINT in sealed box...not mangled in sealed box.

  9. 'misb' does'nt apply too yamato...because the items are often broken bfore they leave the factory.

this is very dissapointing, and if i buy MISB toy from yamato...i pretty much assume there is somthing wrong with it

    >>>like the MISB proto-garland i just bought with broken handelbars..ohhh, what a flawless collectors item <_<

    SUCKS!

  10. It's definitely in the $1,000's, possibly tens. Also, the more smaller parts there are, the more expensive it is to tool the mold. It's quite possible that the VF-11B has more internal mechanisms and pieces that we can't see, which contribute to the cost. It looks deceptively simple from the outside but underneath the exterior may be much more complex.

...why hide such detail from your customers???????? ...is'nt the toy already being released this weekend?

internal mechinsm would be a big selling point i think..

as a glassblower>>i often hide intricate embelishments in my work..BUT>> go though great pains too make sure my customers/collectors know of thier existence...

so lets see the guts already

  11. Nice. Got mine into bikes pretty early too. My 14-year-old has been racing BMX since he was 4. Now we're rebuilding an '87 Yamaha SRX 250 together (think of it as the Yamaha version of the Honda sportbike that inspired Aramaki to come up with MOSPEADA ride-armor).

    i need too meet aramaki before i die...so i can thank him...or curse him;

    - for filling my mind with killer variABLE MOTORCYCLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i honestly wonder what my brain would be like...if it wasnt obsessed with this dudes mech designs since i was a 5th grader!!!!!!:unsure::wacko:

    someone make it stop!

  12. all value is relative. As a big macross fan, I can easily justify spending 200 dollars on a valk. I'm not that big of a mospeada fan and 200 bucks on a beagle seems awfully expensive to me, even though the toy looks fantastic.

    i can digg it..

also; sorry too 'flame-out' on the vf-11b price>>..all these items have a BiG"sticker shock" involved with thier m.s.r.p.

    >>>i just discovered my gF was texting with some little punk, so ..i'm venting i think^_^

and" to each his own"- certainly applies too the topic of collectables.

hell, the gakken 1/8 ridearmor was $29.99 msrp!!!..in 1985 yet>>i've seen the japenese release sell for $600!!!

end of the day...i'm avariable toy junkie -so i have no buiss telling anyone what to pay ..or buy..or like.

p.s. ..incedently..i scored the OLD yamato fastpack vf11B last month for $65+ship  ..obviously the new 1/60 helped me get that low price!!

the shoulders are tiggggggghte but function..hips are good..cool variable

so i'll wait a year to let his older brother sit on the shelf and out shine 'em ^_^

  13. If you don't want to pay the price, then don't buy, more for the rest of us. I for one will definitely be buying one, I am really looking forward to this one.

oh the toy is quite nice looking...just not $160.00 nice! ..if it were rare or vintage that would be one thing..

    >>>but for a NEW mass produced toy of the LEAST popular of mac plus valks?no,thanks.

i will look forward too getting one...when the price falls 50%

if it does'nt fall..then beagle will get my money

    - and i agree companies are out for profit(nature of the beast);

    >>but as a consumer...i'm out for SAVING's...and i'm not ashamed of it - any more than yamato is for making money.

    thats life..

  14. That is because demand for those isn't high. Not too many people are buying them and they need to sell them so put them on clearance. Now go look at the prices of other 1/60 scale stuff, newer stuff and that's a different story. A stand alone v.2 1/60 is $80, throw in the fastpacks and we are talking $120 roughly. This is a valk with better stuff than it's original versions plus FPs so of course the price is high.

theyre also still in stock cause no one will pay that price anymore..if they sold out it would prove your point!

no doubt,...but that demand WILL drop once the 'newness' has worn off.

i just scored a protoGarland for $79 from an ebaySTORE..not an auction.

..and this seller still has several units available..un-sold.

the proto as we all know retailed at $$179.00!!!!!!! and got intersteller reviews..yet demand has dropped too the point where the price is 1/3 of original price.

Soo..pay $100.00 premium....just too have the toy NOW.

i'll wait, thanks,, ..it's not as if they are some vintage toy that's going too VANISH if i dont buy one today!

i think yamato is quite cunning too feed off the collectors who are used to RARE extinct toys with huge pricetag!
