Akihabara has some second hand and collectible stores in which you can find some 1/48s but be prepared for very inflated prices IMO. You can find them if you exit through electric town exit and walk along the main road, I think there are 3 or 4 hobby stores, one with more than 4 floors.

Fast packs are way gone (again unless you search for those hobby shops in Akihabara).

The Koning you could have bought it at Toys R Us at Odaiba, I bought mine there for 13000 yen, and they still had some the last time I went.

My japanese is not perfect but I do believe it actually says something like: "as this is the 'latest' variation of the vf-1a series, you will definately want this in your collection." Japanese store advertisement tend to be misleading sometimes in order to make sales, I got used to it already. Anyway there are no more vf-1'A' variations worth releasing IMHO, I just wish they would do more reissues. Again I could be wrong about the translation.

Well, the last batch of Hikaru VF-1J 1/48 non fastpack that I know of in the Osaka area sold out.  Volks had a 50-70% off sale today, on EVERYTHING. All the 1/48 were gone by the time I got there, even the 1A Hikaru    Lets hope for a bundle pack release for the GPB

Anyone know any available vf-1js in the Tokyo area (that are not over retail price)? I'm still hopping for a bundle pack but I would like to buy one just in case. I've been searching for one in the past few months but nothing.

sorry to change the subject, but can someone tell me the release date in Japan? Yesterday I went to my 2 main hobby stores (Tokyo) and I cound not find a single Monster. Has it been sold out already at Japan or is it that the sotres dont carry them yet (maybe because of the size). Any info is appreciated as I really wanted to buy it at discount but if no more is available then Ill have to go online.

My advice is to sell it now (if that's your intent) before the new 19 arrives. Just look at how fast the original Taka's dropped in price as soon as the Bandai reissues were announced. They sold for even less after they hit the shelves.

Actually selling a ver.2 YF19 wouldn't be a good idea right now. There is a big difference between the Bandai reissues in that they are the same mold. Who knows, maybe Yamato will not go with diecast this time or maybe the new toy will have some problems. Out of all the original Mac+ lineup the YF19 will be the only one not reissued (in the same mold) so that could bring prices up in the long term.

Well I think this problem is actually pretty serious, since the VT and VE have new molds and if they can't transform or if they break easily if transformed. I was going to buy both, but now I'm seriously considering waiting.

I think that the matrix will probably have a see through crystal window. The led will probably be placed on Prime's chest to give out that effect.

As for the colors, I bet that the funky yellow Prime will probably be the American Version.

A lot of people recommend VE, but I can't buy there because there is no Paypal for my country. Wish they could also accept direct credit cards. So until then I buy at HLJ and sometimes ebay.

Why the heck did they have to make such big boxes?! There is so much dead space that the toy has an "empty" look. Not only that, but the shipping will probably be higher.
