....and might as well mess around with them all while waiting for the DX versions of those lil drakens

  2. One thing I can say for sure is HMR looks good together and in numbers.

As for the glaug, it's awesome. But.... After a quick check, light can't pass through eye sensor from the inside like the regults. Small bummer but just one Easter egg less. Hope u guys are enjoying yours too

  3. Nice!

    absolutely! all monsters are beautiful

    Hahah

Hah, awesome! Makes me think of that Robotech game they had on kickstarter.

    Table-top war-gaming with big frakk-off toys.

bandai must've figures out that both yamato and bandai konig monsters were lonely and had nothing much to scale it with previously. now, these monsters have endless supply of 1/100-ish company

  4. I don't Hv a bandai one but frankly I think the Yamato monster has good qualities of its own as a first Transformable monster, especially its size n homage to the original artwork. On the low side it's just not as tight as the bandai monster.

Got mine quite cheap (2 broken pegs behind the hips, nothing Blutac n patience can't solve) and it scales well with the 1/100-ish HMR series being massive and all. Can refer the picture I attached, a temporary setup while cleaning up

  5. While we're talking box art, here's my take on the 0S + Ghost bundle (how we all wish arcadia did one, me included).

While waiting for the RA I guess having the Yamato ghost together brings good vibes to it , loose missiles pods n all :)

  6. Most of us at the event totally didn't expect Tenjin to be there too, and he happily came to the booth signed a lot of things, including one of his poster/artwork one of our friends used to dress the booth. Awesome thing is, Tenjin knew n picked the right (left) leg to sign in order to display nicely on the included mini stand, mind blown....

Yeah, perfect combo, Tenjin art + kawamori design n both their sigs on the one valks a lot of fans criticized. Loved it anyway, love it even more now :p

  7. Dude like really? Only problem I had is that Everything was not locking properly on mine in fighter mode (wing-legs-backpack) out of the box. Adjusting it had some domino effect on the intake section. But after some fiddling everything locked in nicely, including the stand adaptor with gunpod attached

  8. Well, if Minimalism is the issue, don't u think the arcadia stand has too many elements with the 1 1/2 leg + huge base instead of one long flexible arm + smaller base?

I'm sure it'll look good with big valks like yf-19s/sv-51s/yf-21s but it's a bit out of proportion with vf-1s + loss of hierarchy. This is where the launch arm/mighty block looks a lot better in relation with the valk size and why I wish arcadia could reissue those ones too. Less plinth, more flexibility, minimal volume.

Like some collectors I can't afford 1 valk per shelf so 2-3 valks (depending on size) per shelf + limited shelf numbers is option I can't run away from. I wanna see the valks I have flying as they're meant to be, not in boxes.

Yeah, It's a bit subjective but I'm just highlighting the plus/minus of the stand vs personal display space availability. Hard to balance all but guess I'll have to make do until I have a bigger space to put small big things or get yeti-stands/or equivalent to tilt the vf-25 (on that rigid bandai stand).

  9. False. They can do way more than the launch arm stand or those from Bandai VF-25.

yup, just have to play with it. one thing though, this stand requires a huge space by itself as compared to the launch arm. Hope arcadia is listening and will re-issue that too

  10. That's a guy who grew up in the 80s :D

    Spot on!

very nice display k'k! The red / maroon wall color behind the displays give it a nice backing!

Had nothing better to do some time back so I did it 1st before the detolfs. Yes, it does help highlight the toys especially if it's white.
  11. Don't have much but just sharing to add more spam to the macross community :). Nevermind the rest, Top row only with a small extension downwards in the middle

Thats VF-1J 30th, VF-1D, VF-1S focker strike parts, fan racer, YF- 19 with super parts, VF-22S Max with fold booster (from the 19), SV-51 nora, VF-25F with super part. yf-30 next to the mp-03 underneath isamu n max, kawamori crossovers :p. 6 years it took but hopefully I'll get one for each design in time even if it takes (almost) forever
