Got my Monster on Friday. Paid through the nose for shipping via FedEx. Was the cheapest option when I pre-ordered from PlazaJapan. Posted an unboxing video to YT.

I ordered mine from HLJ back in October, but only have the decals in the private warehouse. Anyone else order through HLJ and not have theirs yet?
I can wait, just seeing if anyone else was in the same boat before I bothered their support teamSame here as well. My guess is that they couldn't fulfill every preorder with the first run. Hoping that a second run will be done soon.

That giant gray block between the intakes really sticks out.
Agree here as well. Would have been nice if the legs were slimmer. I don't think anyone had any issues with the DX Chogokin being skinner than the line art. Also, disappointed with the grey block, too. I poured over all the images when news first came out to see if there was something missing. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Comparison with 90's Bandai 1/144 VF-17S 2-mode set.
Nice! I'm a little surprised that the Drakken III is roughly the same size as the Nightmare. Thanks for the post!

Nice!!
How long is the 171?
Thanks guys. This kit is 8.5 cm long. Yes, I too wish these kits were 1/100 scale or even 1/144 scale as a matter of fact. I can't justify paying over $30 for the Tomytec "models".

I'll just put this right here. It took me way too long, but I think it was worth it.

I wonder if it's a completely transformable valkyrie if you remove the girl figure. Kinda doubt it. Maybe it's a female figure you can add to Bandai's 1/72 scale kit. Would a cross-company collaboration be implausible?

Nice. And only for 540 yen. We just have to wait 4 more months.

Back in the day I actually kitbashed several of the kits to make a Fighter with Super parts and a Battroid without Super Parts.
I don't know if I'd have the courage to mod my kits like that. If I had a bunch, then maybe. I'd love to see what you did. Do you have any pictures of them?
They appear to have been re-issued recently (well, after the debut of MF recent). You should be able to find some at Mandarake.
Heh... sounds familiar: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41488
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check out a Mandarake when they build one in the US. Maybe the next time I visit Japan.
Btw. Nice job with your VF-11C's. I've been thinking about painting my kits with a different color scheme. I'll have to dig up the motivation and the time when I have the chance.

I loved this kit, bought so many of them back in 94-95
Yeah. I regret not getting more when I had the chance. I'll have to wait till the next re-issue.

Here's a review of the old 1/144 VF-11C from Bandai.

Plugging my review of Bandai's 1/144 scale VF-17 Nightmare. Enjoy!

The dress is a traditional Chinese evening gown usually worn at wedding receptions.

A must have for me.
The Monster does not seem like a reissue. It says "test shot"... Is it a new tooling? Anyone know if the sprue looks like the old 80's kit?
It's the old 80's kit.

Definitely a pleasant surprise. Also the found a way to hide that ugly hip block in fighter mode. Wish that thought of that when they made the YF-19.
