  1. Yeah, my toy didn't break or anything but it did cost me about 200 after shipping/taxes. I believe for that much money a toy should be pretty close to perfect. I also wonder how come Yamato didn't make these die cast. Did they make them diecast before?

    .

I don't collect or buy Yamato toys anymore but when I did I never had too many breakage problems. I owned all of the 1/60s VFs, 1/72s Macross Plus and about 10 1/48s.

    There was:

the Tab B on the first 1/72 YF-19 that broke.

one 1/48 back pack hinge that broke right of the box because the mold wasn't right

a 1/48 VF-1S head laser that broke but that was my fault.

I mainly stopped buying Yamatos due to their price and overall (sometimes bad)quality. It's not worth it to me anymore. I thought about buying a 1/60 YF-19 but after reading about the problems, forget it. 200.00 can be better spent else where.

  2. Your review was great sadly it came out right after i purchased the 0S online. ARGHH! At least it doesnt dip in the middle when i have it just straight in plane mode. I am not sure but are the vf-1s like this as well?

Sounds like you'd agree with my review. I hear the 0A is improved but the shoulders are still prone to breaking.

  3. I just bought my first valk, the VF-0S. I am quite disappointed with this purchase. When I pick it up it seems really flimsy in plane mode at least (didn't transform to prevent breaking it). Are they all llike this or are some actually sturdy? It still looks amazing in plane mode though. The tampo printing on it was pretty good tho and the magnets were okay as were the tailfins. Is the 0A much better than the 0S because I am seriously reconsidering my shin 0A preorder. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

  4. Wouldn't the shin look pretty much like the CF if you were to take all the accesories off anyways? I am not sure about how the 2 missiles on top are going to come off though.

  5. Excluding the ghost is this the same as the regular VF-0A? It looks exactly the same minus the red logos. I don't own a VF-0A yet but I will get one soon. Not sure which to get though but I do like the red logos in the shin version I just dont like the missiles.

  6. mujuro, there really isn't a difference (that I know of) between the first and second issues. Yamato released a tiny first issue, then using the exact same process released more a couple months later (what some call the second issue). For all intents and purposes, they're exactly the same. It wasn't until the release of the 0A that Yamato made substantial improvements to the 0 mold. Several members, myself included, are now waiting for Yamato to release a second edition that includes the fixes of the 0A on the 0S.

    Oh,

Awesome so I should just wait till the release the 2nd edition then! Is it coming out for sure and does anyone know when it will come out?

    Thanks
