Following up on my post in mid October, this was always a grail for me: Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie. I found one a couple months back, but all the stickers were messed up (has some rusted screws, yellowing, and a broken strike cannon connector as well, but I digress). Then Toyhax released the Bandai 1/55 label sheet which was a Godsend! Only gripes are that they don't include the factory decals and the white like on the skull aren't dark enough. But helps to complete this figure.

Thanks!
I'm totally down for resin parts!
And thanks for the suggestion of unscrewing the Fast Pack. That makes a lot of sense. I'll do that since I won't be playing with this one.
I'd love a re-issue of this one. -

Hey buddy! I responded to you in the TFW2005 thread (we both use different SNs here but seem to have the same avatars )
The 1/55 releases all had pre-applied decals such as the one you are referring to. ToyHax opted to not release those in this first issue because it's assumed that you have them applied already. That being said, I did advise them to offer the pre-applied labels at some point because a lot of collectors enjoy refurbing and will need them. Or in your case, received it without the pre-applied sticker.
Got it!
I ordered them as soon as they were available and I can wait for when they (hopefully) release the pre applied ones.

Hey guys, I'm super excited to share with you a project that I consulted on:
Labels & Stickers for Labels for 1983-84 VF-1S BATTROID VALKYRIE - Toyhax
Labels & Stickers for 1984 STRIKE VALKYRIE ARMOR - ToyhaxThese are repro labels for the 1/55 Strike VF-1S (the pics shown on their site are actually my Valk). For those who aren't familiar, ToyHax is an amazingly high quality repro label company. They're really well known in the Transformers collecting world; particularly, in refurbing G1 toys. They used a designer friend of mine to create them (he has designed for Adult Swim, Coca-Cola, to name a couple and happens to also enjoy Macross - though not on the board here) and I consulted on the project, tested prototypes etc.
If this goes well, they'll produce more for the 1/55 line and possibly the old school TV SDF-1, Regult, etc.
* Disclaimer: This isn't a sales push, and I don't receive any money for purchases, etc. I simply had an idea, presented it, and consulted on it. I'm just excited to share with fellow collectors who have long been looking for quality replacement decals. Thanks! In another thread I happened to have bought a 1/55 Strike recently.
My knowledge is limited, but do you know why the whole Strike sheets weren't done? The Strike that I bought had missing stickers and wanted to replace all of them. For example, it doesn't look like the set includes the black strip with UN Spacey on the out legs

Hi, long time member that's been out of game for a while and need some help.
I recently fulfilled a childhood dream of mine in getting a 1/55 VF-1S Strike.
Though couple of things.
1 I was VERY careful, but the Strike cannon snapped as soon as I tried to clip it in. Anyone ever recast Strike or Fast Pack parts?
2. Anyone point me to an old school gallery for the Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Strike? I googled and I know like 15-20yrs ago there were tons that I drooled over but they seem sparse now. Curious where some of the stickers are placed.
3. anyone have a scan of the actual sticker sheets? Reprolabels just put out old school labels but they don't seem like all of them.

4. anyone point me to anyone who recast a red heat shield?
Thanks!

Okay. Gleaned some more hard info about this watch. This is for you, fellow WIS’ers.
Case diameter: 38.5mm
lug to lug: 46mm
thickness: 9.6mm
movement: 7T92 quartz. This movement measures time elapsed up to 1/20 second precision, up to 12 hours.
Nice watch, it’s kinda tough to find Seiko chronographs at a reasonable size - most here in the US are 42mm or larger. I do wish it had an N mecha-quartz movement, but oh well.
Thanks!
I was very interested in this watch as "why not?" purchase, but I'm not a fan of quartz (more like replacing batteries). Seiko has the best bang for your buck and make really nice and cheap automatics. This would be an instanta purchase with excitement if this was automatic.
Anyone know how to pre-order if you're based in the US? Doesn't look like can even do so off the Bandai site.

People frontin their bootleg Macross media on social media. GO YOU.
yeah, not very proud of them, but these were bought about 10yrs ago and were actively discussed/recommended here (hence why I bought them).
I'd love to transition to official blurays like I said, but the Eng subs are the challenge.

Hello, longtime member who took a REAAALLLY long hiatus, but trying to get back in the game.
Trying to upgrade my DVDs (a lot of bootlegs thanks to Harmony Gold and my lack of Japanese).
Is there a guide here for English subbed, NTSC Macross blu rays?
Main thing I'd be looking for is special features and prefer to have official.
DVDs I have:
1. Animeigo SDF
2. Official FB2012
3. Manga Macross Plus OVA and Movies
4. Bootleg Macross 7 with all the OVAs
5. Bootleg Frontier
6. Bootleg ZeroThx

Hey Kamui 777: how's the vehicle voltron DVD set? I'm thinking about getting it ...
It's pretty good. I personally loved Vehicle Voltron vs Lion. But my 2 out of the 3 discs are like warped and rattle slightly in my DVD player. Someone else on the Voltron forums has that problem, too. Plays fine, just hums real loud in my player.
Has a pilot and some opinions of Lion vs Vehicle.

Daltanious!!!
Awesome, thanks!

So, I'm watching the new Vehicle Voltron DVD set, and it comes with a pilot ep of the VV. Apparently Voltron II was supposed to be this robot, with a Lion head for a chest, gold thighs and black fists and waist. He also has the red baron crosses on his knees and shoulders. Does anyone know what series and who this is?
Thx

Why pay for pirated rubbish. If they are the usual chinese crap the sub titles will be gibberish for the most part.
Well, I enjoy having DVDs, and I'm not in front of a computer long enough to download files.
I mean, aren't all English subs/dubs of Frontier right now pirated?

Has anyone heard anything about the KA Macross Frontier bootleg DVDs
https://www.animeniacs.com/item/DVD2753.html
(I'm kinda weird bc I don't like downloading, but I enjoying physically having a DVD, don't ask why)

The Cobra Starship song is annoyingly catchy...

Don't see any real reason, unless you're an anal collector I have the original set, and from what I understand, the new 5.1 isn't all it's cracked up to be, and the video is the same.
Personally, I like the original release covers better, but that also has to do with them not saying "remix" all over them.
Not an anal collector but I'd like to make sure I'm not missing out on any bonus content the originals had compared to the REMIXes. From what I understand Ep 0 was broken up across 2-3 DVDs in the original set.
-
I just got the Cowboy Bebop Remix DVD set. Do I need to purchase the original for an extra content? The Remix set comes with Ep 0 which the original set broke up across the DVDs.....
-
I finally got it from Deepdiscountdvd. So besides the shower scene, what else was cut from the former US release?
-
Since, Korea got knocked out, I no longer watch.
-
Only Powermasters had tranformation locks. Without a headmaster, you'd just have a headless robot. I have all of them.
-
I loved this show as well. Season 1 was the best. They only released teh first 13 eps (the Angemon arc) on US DVD. Also the Digimon Movie (I thought this was crap).
I wish they released all of season one.
Oh the giant cactus is togemon.
-
Just ordered!! WWHHEEEEEEE!!!
-
Since the newly released DVD from ADV are Macross, it might be in this forum. But does anyone have any reviews? I don't see any topic titles for it.
-
Is it the same format as the Animego discs, just ported over? Like the same eps on each dics? Do you know how many discs there will be?
Need some help with a recently purchased 1/55 Bandai VF-1S Strike

Yeah, I've had this issue with one of their sets before where the white wasn't solid enough. I'll reach out to customer support.
