  1. I think even the clear coat would eventually come off. Graham's method should work though... But this is starting to foray into the 'we have to be gentle playing with it cause it's a like a yamato' territory.

Even if it did, I still think a flat coat would do these toys wonders. But it would require almost complete disassembly to get the flat coat completely even on all pieces. Sounds like a fun project actually...

  2. Sorry to insist, but again, there is only VF-0S arm fix and some CF VF-0A with the good shoulder and some with the bad one STILL no VF-0A "SHIN" stand-alone reissue whatsoever on the horizon?

Actually I believe it was the Shin 0A that had some good some bad whilst the CF was "stay the hell away".

  3. Bleah. Blue Heat Shield on the Max. Now I have to get a black one for my Hikaru 1S AND the Max 1S.

I guess no one at Yamato actually watched DYRL where Max's 1S was never shown with a blue heat shield ;)

That's retconning for ya. No different than retconning the size of the VF-11B. I'm sure Kawamori had a hand in it. And Hikaru's is a toss up, it was shown with a red heatshield just as much as a black one.

  4. That's too bad, I'm really happy with my Shin 0A. Everything that was wrong with my 1st edition 0S is fixed with this 0A. The shoulders I'll still be careful with but I don't really remember many people (or anyone specifically at all) that had their Shin shoulders explode.

Plus I got the bundle for $105+shipping, how could I complain?

  5. I've transformed my 0A several times since I've gotten it. Had I known the seat was going to be much tighter compared to my 1st edition 0S I probably wouldn't have pressed on it. It's not a big deal anyways.

Also this isn't a Bandai vs Yamato thread. And if it was then I would say that Bandai could have made the DX detailed AND durable they just chose not to (compared to the smaller model kit) for whatever reason. It doesn't have to be a war between detail and durability, there's no reason we can't have both.
