  1. I'm too depressed and mad to take pics of the broken shoulder. Tried to transform it only once from valk mode and very gently at that, then "CRACK"! I hadn't even known about the shoulder problem beforehand, as I have not logged here for a long time. At first, I was thinking, was it my fault? I have 3 Yammies and transformed them from time-to-time, where did I go wrong? And then I logon here and find out that VF-0 valks have problems, and that it wasn't my fault at all...Crap Yamato, I ain't buying another valkyrie until I know they have cleaned up their act!

  2. Makes me wonder if the standalone ghost would look good on the previously released VF-0A, the color of the standalone seems to be off...

Do yo guys notice any differences on the VF-0A packaged with the ghost compared to the standalone VF-0A? They almost look the same to me, exept for some stickers/decals...

  3. We are the Arthurius, you will lower your shields and send us all your toys, resistance is futile.

LOL! Now that's a positive way of looking at it...LOL!

  4. Yep, he doesn't have to leave the community, but it would kinda suck, if he stays on a toy forum, and say he's quitting toys at the same time...It kinda defeats the purpose of quitting...

Anyway, maybe its just overwhelming frustration, but everyone has a choice and I guess we have to respect his decision to quit...

  5. ehhhhhhhh..... toe-dippers~

Life without risks is no life at all~

I have a first edition myself, and it's fine.  Comments about the elbows being loose are definitely stretching it as a complaint because it really isn't THAT loose... It looks even better in person, and easily smacks the 1/48 down in build quality.

I know these things aren't cheap... but c'mon, you're gonna wait even AFTER the re-issue for any bad reviews?....

As Russell Peters once said, "Be a MANg!"

LOLz! Actually, I'd be waiting for good reviews! Hehehe! :p

Yeah, these things aren't cheap at all...Spending hard-earned money for this "hobby", I'd at least want to get my money's worth... B))

Yes, there is a second production run with according to Yamato, improved tighter knee and elbow swivel joints and a tighter backpack hinge. I just got mine today, but haven't had a chance to take it out of the box yet.

If it's not in stores in Japan and HK yet, it should be any day now.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to tell just from looking at the box whether whether it is a 1st or 2nd run.

I personaly, didn't consider the slightly loose joints on my 1st versions a problem at all. It never affected the toys ability to hold a pose.

    Graham

Thanks for the confirmation Graham! Now that's more like it, good to know that Yamato is working on the problems encountered on the 1st run of the VF-0S... :D

Now, I'll just have to trust my friendly neighborhood hobby shop, that what he's gonna sell me is a 2nd issue... ;)

  6. Kaiyodo Revoltechs specifically the Ingram Unit 01 and EVA-00, then a 1/48 VF-1A Max and Hikaru... :D

I think I'll skip the 1/60 VF-0A for now, I'll wait patiently for buyer feedbacks before getting one for myself...

  7. @Dante74

    Its no biggie dude! ;)

After all, we are all friends here who share the same enthusiasm for MACROSS!!! And "sharing" the info to everyone is the point of it all...Hehehe! :D

edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot to ask, I didn't really notice it in the anime, but was the Angel Bird valk really a VF-1A? Or does it have other variants too, such as a VF-1J...

  8. Thanks for the news (RYO and Dante)!  Posted on the Nexus!

Got a profile for this one now up here too.

    Thanks!!! :D

Over on the Macross World Forums, Dante74 (with some help from RYO) has posted an image of the next VF-1 in the Yamato 1/48-scale line.  The "Angel Birds" color scheme. . .

    LOLz! :D

I'd just like to correct your assumption...I did not help Dante74, he jumped the gun on making this thread when he saw my inquiry on this thread, no offense to Dante74 ofcourse...Ultimately, a BIG thanks to Hobby Stock for the very early scoop... ;)

Back to topic, I somehow don't like the colorful scheme, I think I'll keep my budget on the VF-0A instead...
