  2. I guess the topic of Japan celga/and mean business is still going on. I will mention its not only a shop on the internet, as I've been to many shops there. One particular one in Kyoto Japan.. when "he" brang the item from the shelf, I only decided to buy 1 out of the 5 because the rest were less of my expectancy. He became irratable after I told him I dont want the others, so I just bought that 1 and left the store. Though that was only one shop, most others like Book Off were good, you just have to deal with the Fkin Different culture for the rest.

As For your quote... (When it first occured I was talking about it with my friend.) and he mention, they think the same about us (don't you think?) like we're Barbarains! There is a point to that.. Hence why they usually only like to deal with Japanes cusomers.

For visitors going there Id suggest go with the feeling of what Azrael said (on outpost forums)

"I must accept that which I cannot change or control." (dealing possible different culture and wierdness, then you'll have a better time and expectation there)

PS your welcome to read my opinion of staying there here as well http://www.outpostnine.com/forum/showthread.php?p=106678

When American expections are requested, it comes off as pushy and is a turn off even for the business owners who are not used to providing up to the same level of service as in America.

Different culture, different rules, different expectations.

    356044[/snapback]

Can you really ask americans to accept different rules and cultures???

Don't think so, after all they really think they rule and own the world. MAybe that is why people from a small island will just not pay any attention to a USA customer requirements :p

  3. ya I use to have the Macross DYRL 2 disks plus the demo.

If you can't find the US demo disc, it would be a lot easier to find the VFX2 demo disc that came with DYRL for the PSX.  It's the *exact* same demo of VFX2 that came with the OPM magazine (obviously, the other demos are different).

  4. Well I dealt with 3 other japanese business's recently and many years, few when I was there as well (not to be biasd don't know about other countries) and most I've seen are very nice to customers. But you may bump into few exceptions such as the Celga case where the leader doesn't care, in this case the keigo guy (whos policy is "We don't treat customers like King" and the others you read above). The Japanese culture way, if we arnt far off, is they don't complain about stuff and just move on or use a different service, yes its wierd. "Otherwise things could get really messed up, since the country is so small and everything's so compact, that one thing could lead to another and become widespread and ridiculous" friends quote.

Hyla on the other hand is nice actually she just has to follow "his strict policy" and what he tells her, feel bad that shes doing that business. Later

  5. ANOTHER MINUS for CELGA.com

If you want more in depth, just goto the 2 places below.

After a Month of hearing from them again, they seem to only respond to things they want to. I used them to get some international stuff, told them to combine all stuff in 1 because it was a couple of cds right. I got 6 lets say right, they send 5 out and the last one they tell me to pay another $11 for EMS???? (Don't recall the amount I got but same fkn ratio aspect) Anyway I ask them why I gotta pay for another shipment they say to read www.celga.com/after.html their page . Told her I read it and IT MAKES NO SENSE, both lines Contrast each other it says they can hold it stuff when the customer wants, then they say they may not be able to after some time WTF???

.I ask for refund of that one thing cause they DIDN'T NOTIFY ME about that. They said they can't do it and I am forced to pay the $11 ship.. Now they throwing their customer to waste like im nothing and they telling me to send the money and stop using them look. Id also like to've complaint on them for BAD Business practices (Hyla is in Calfornia, and Keigo in Japan), but that site couldn't do it.. Trust me Id feel like sueing them right now, just have no experiece on it.

http://www.hobbyfanatics.com/index.php?showtopic=3667 Scroll all way down thats what the deal is.

PS I asked to talk to the boss this japanese guy but she didn't even let me, just decided to respond on her own, whatever,i heard hes not really a nice guy.....)

i read he said to someone else last year that he cant deal with an uncooperative cusomer (and you know where i heard it right here) http://www.hobbyfanatics.com/index.php?showtopic=1042

    " Hello,

This is Keigo from Japan. The owner of Celga, Inc.

Please bear with my poor English. I am a frank person

so I may sound rude but I will tell you my policy.

Basically, Celga doesn't like the customers who

behave like the King. We respect our customers but

we expect them to repsct us. CELGA is not a type of

USA retail companies where consumers have greater

power. We refuse the business with any customers

any time. We don't do business with someone who

is difficult. You can think Celga service of something

    like membership service.

I wanted to tell you about this before we start

business because I don't want the trouble afterwards.

There is other service like us. I hope you refer to other service, too.

    Thank you

    Keigo Morita "

it looks like they don't care for their CUSOMERS are NOT their #1 priority, so Im gonna stop using them top one is from someone else's exp from link above (the bottom one from bustakei is the letter I got)..

    The letter I got:

"as soon as the $11 is received, your package will be

in the mail to you. then all business is completed,

and hopefully a different deputy service can assist

    you"

    notify about what shipment?

our warehouse is really small an we cannot hold items

for that long without it costing us. Please

    understand that.

if items are sitting at japan warehouse for more than

a month or so, celga japan office may prepare the

package before a customer specifially request

shipping. celga has limited storage space

available, and most of our customers bid on many items

over a long time ... so, it is impossible to hold/wait

for all items to be in stock, because new items are

    always arriving for the customer.

when a package is ready to go, it is moved to a

different storage area... awaiting pick up/delivery to

    the post office.

so, it is time-consuming and complicated to 'just add

1 more item' to a box that is already waiting to ship

out. that is why celga cannot.....

    I nominate Celga.com.

What I bought - Nichimo 1/200 VF-D Battroid and VF-1D Gerwalk (bid price 600 yen for each)

What I paid - $36.00 for two auctions on Y!Japan Auction

    What I receive - nothing

They finally received my items and I asked them to ship it to me SAL.  I got an invoice from them saying it would cost $26 dollars for 350 grams.  Huh?  I asked them why it was $26 for 350 grams when it cost about $10.80 for 1 kg.  They replied back with a SAL parcel post rate and said that's what it cost.  I asked why they just didn't use SAL small packet (difference being that you write small packet on the item [Kogata hosobutsu] for a lower rate).  They wrote back and said that they could not use so many different shipping options (even though I only asked for SAL).  I wrote back, "fine, please ship this item by EMS instead and send me a new invoice" (EMS at 350 g would cost me about $16).  I didn't get a reply.  Two weeks later I asked them to please answer my last email and to ship my package by EMS.  Still I haven't gotten any reply.  The last email I got from them was on September 8th (telling me that's what it costs) and I haven't heard back.  Basically, they are angry with my questioning of their shipping policy and they have decided to keep my money and my money (I didn't know I was dealing with children who hold grudges).

This is why I nominate Celga.com

    F.

P.S.  In none of my emails was the language offensive in any way.

I wonder, who signed the emails sent to you? Was it Keigo? <_<

If so not surprised, that guy while cofounder of Celga is known for his RUDENESS, being DIFFICULT and just overall being a JERK! I second adding Celga to the list. I use to use them but b/c of him I quit.

I will add however Emily and Hylda were nice. But too much negative experiences with annoying, holier than thou Keigo. <_<
