I totally agree with you for the need of a matte coat (and that the chipping is something off scale...). I did some touch ups, used tamiya weathering pigments for engine exhausts, a drop of clear gloss to the red lights, and added the painted antennas. The last touch is a coat of final acrylic matte varnish.

Next kits will be the Regult and the Monster, something larger for better handling.... I think I will reduce the aging process, and I will try to keep them with a "newer" and less weathered look.

Hi all! This is my latest work; I'm learning airbrushing and weathering/aging techniques. Still needs some touch-ups, some black pigment around exhausts and mounting of nose antennas (I'm currently painting them). Maybe I will spray a light matte coat, because to me it still looks too shiny (despite the satin varnish applied). Thank you everybody for comments.
