Hi all
I'm after the following 3 items all V2 Yamato. the VF-1D with or with out option parts can be damaged as I really just want one for parts to fix my current one parts. VF-1D virgin roa unmarked with boxes is preferred . I'm located in Australia shipping costs are no issue. if you can help let me know.
VF-1J has be found still very keen for the two VF-1D`s
Thanks

from what I`ve found over the years on my MG Gundams is that lacquer paints (I use Mr color) with a good topcoat (Mr Topcoat) are normally hard wearing enough not to scratch. or for the really bad areas using a wood floor topcoat first (future, long life) doing a dip and letting it harden for a number of days before putting on a flat cost if thats the look you are going for will. I`ve used it a few times and long life in my case dry rock hard and haven`t scratched yet.

Not as hard as you'd think. I've got a local place that stocks them. I'll be keeping that in mind for my next project.
Where abouts are you?
live an hour out of Perth. I normaly make orders from BNA hobbies in vic, they normally have a good range if I haven`t cleaned them out the month before. Perth wise no one stocks it any more. I just had a look over your vf-1s custom paint looks good!

Valkyrie addict, I did try the canopy decal at first but it looked terrible. And this is the first time i've done masking so very happy with how its turned out.
Mickyg, lacquer paints are the only way to go for a hard wearing great finish. Living in Australia does make the mr color paints hard to get thoe

since its a vf-1a wan`t going to go with any black on the chest of heat shield but not that you`ve said it, it does look like its missing something. all painted with an airbrush and Mr color paints hold up well on my gundams about the joints and seems to be good on these yamatos as well

Recently I got 3 vf-1a unassembled kits for $50 each and wanted to have a crack and painting them below are the 90% complete photos of what I like to call the VF-1A trainer. Idea being its the aircraft used after the VF-1D trainer for new pilots. I have tried to make it look as tho Yamato them selves have made this kit. Enjoy!
