  4. This was originally a poster and was found in the issue of My Anime, December 1982. It is a jumbo fold-out poster and there's a little bit more at the bottom than previously seen on Robotech posters. Scanning it would be tough since its a fold out poster and has lots of creases. There are a few collectors that have the poster, I am one. If I can find a good technique for photographing folded poster, I'll get you a nice big pic.

Macross posters thread can be found in the Collectors section: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showforum=42

Can you or anyone scan it hi-rez in separate sections?. I will photoshop and repost Scans of the separate sections would be PERFECT!

here is the full image - scroll down to the bottom. its the FULL image.

  5. I "have" it... though it has the huge "Robotech" title and fades to dark on top... It's basically a page from my 2002 ADV catalogue.

[edit]Here's a preview, I can't seem to upload the bigger image :( I can upload it somewhere else if you still want it.

Original Image Size: 2199 x 3156; Image scanned at 300 dpi.

It's not exactly what you wanted unfortunately...

TY - but yeah - I was hoping the get the raw untouched pic - its a great scan though, Ill keep it anyway.

  6. post-248-1238466534_thumb.jpg

This has always been one of my favorite Macross images. I first saw it back in the '80's when it was labeled "Robo War" ROBOTECH back in the day - but it MUST have existed before HG used it for posters and box sets.

Anyone know where it originated from and where I might get a really high rez scan of it?

    Thanks

  7. Now that I have a PS3 - I have decided to mod my PS2 so I can finally play Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

I know there use to be a VERY LARGE thread on the game, but I can't seem to find it now.

Can some one post a link to any of the best translations guides, game guides, or maybe even a link to the older thread so I can figure out what I need to do?

    Thanks so much,

  8. Hey Starchild, you should have checked out Mechahawaii, they are right across the street. It is a smaller shop, but the owner is super cool, and is always helpful. Prices are cheaper also. ;)

I WAS there too... very cool store. We had burritos next door at BC Burritos. Smaller and VERY packed with all types of stuff. More like your typical comic book store. Toys 'N Joys was 98% Japanese and anime - I loved it.

  9. I recently got back from my honeymoon. My wife and I went to Hawaii. It was AMAZING. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been. We came across a store in Honolulu called Toys 'N Joys. Being that Hawaii is kind of the midway point to Japan, and the Japanese population of Oahu is pretty numerous, I was looking for any signs of Macross. I am still being made fun of by my wife, she says I got more excited for the discovery of this store than anything else.

Check out these pictures to see what I found. The prices seemed a little on the expensive side - $248 for the VF-0S w/ Ghost Booster. I saw it for about $40-$50 less on ebay, but shipping usually made it about equal. I was considering buying a few, but I would have had to ship them back, and at that point I might as well have waited and used HLJ or ebay.

    Just though this was interesting.

  10. I have been downloading the Frontier Manga w/ the translations. I have chapters 1-6. have there been more since? I have done numerous searches and only found chapters 1-67. Will there be others?

With the last episode coming out, I am starting to fiend for more Macross Frontier!!

    Thanks for the help,

Super Dimension Fortress More Macross Loving Version 2 xvid ac3:

A fan edit of SDF Macross: Do you remember love? Japanese animation movie.

    What is it about?

In 1999, an alien space fortress crashes to Earth. Earth is united in rebuilding this fortress for the eventual contact with its owners. In 2009, an alien starship fleet arrives in Earth orbit to claim the fortress now named Macross. The Macross fortress and all on board flee the Earth from the alien fleet. On the way back to Earth on board the space fortress Macross, three young people, a Valkyrie jet fighter pilot Hikaru Ichijyo, a pop star Lynn Minmay and a UN Spacy officer Misa Hayase find their lives inextricably linked to surviving a war amongst two merciless alien armadas.

original film name: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do you remember love?

new film name : Super Dimension Fortress More Macross Loving

film studio name : Big West / Studio Nue / Bandai / Tatsunoku

edit crew name : boinger (MacrossWorld.com name) / kaarma33 (FanEdit.org name), different names, one guy

Date Original Film Was Released : 1984

Date Edit Was Released : 3/2008

    Original Runtime : 115 mins

    New Runtime : 126 mins

    Amount of time Cut/Added : 11 mins

    Additions:

    • Gray Phantom's updated remastered DYRL video

    • Hurin's English subtitles retimed by Gray Phantom (Ali Sama, Mechamaniac) with a few additions and changes by me

    • stereo japanese audio from NLA's perfect edition SDF Macross DYRL

    • New prologue with English subtitles taken from SDF Macross TV ep. 1 and bits of Macross Zero ep.1

    • PSX SDF Macross DYRL footage for new introduction scene, SDF-1 ARMD attack scene in middle and Lynn Minmay’s prebattle scene at end of the extended movie

    • Custom made Zentraedi fleet in Earth orbit video clip to bridge introduction scene to main movie

    • Custom made movie main title sequence.

    • English ending credits

    • Macross: Flashback 2012 Angel’s paints part 1 and 2 incorporated into DYRL extended movie. Part 1 has bits of SDF Macross TV ep 5 to remind viewers that we’re still in the middle of a war and to hide the concert stage differences from the original DYRL movie and FlashBack concert stage. Lynn Minmay’s, the singer’s, costume does change in this scene, but the explanation is that full body holography is a part of the Macross universe. For example, you can see in the recent Macross Frontier ep. 1, how the main singer changes costumes with each song change up due to a holography costume. FlashBack Part 2 is added on the end of SDF Macross: DYRL as a musical epilogue.

    Fanedit details :

    • Widescreen / audio: ac3

    • Video ripped from the region 2 DVD

    DVD extra features:

See SDF MML v1 DVD and extras v1 bittorrent

    Your intention for this fanedit:

SDF Macross DYRL was remastered to dvd in December 2007. So, I had to pick up a copy, since it was a limited edition dvd set. Then a discussion ensued on MacrossWorld.com as to how SDF Macross DYRL was a bit of a disappointment. The picture quality is great, but the video is now so brightened that the film grain and animation cels are visible. The stereo audio has small popping noises every once in a while. To top it off, there is a 6 frame jump back and forth when the main enemy’s fortress is destroyed. I just had to do something about that.

Last year, I had picked up the Macross 20th anniversary DVD and Macross: Flashback 2012 DVD. I then made a longer cut of SDF Macross: DYRL by splicing in the Playstation Macross DYRL? Japanese video footage and added on the Flashback 2012 music video at the end of the SDF Macross DRYL movie. But this time, I am attempting a much more complicated extended SDF Macross DYRL movie fan edit.

  13. Does anyone have the 25th Anniversary logo and the Frontier logo as a hi rez scan I can clip in photoshop or even better, has anyone gotten ahold of an Illustrator vector version?

I am making DVD covers and would love to have them. I tried combing through the 50+ 25th Anniversary thread w/ no logo, and could only find a .gif of the Frontier logo.

    Thanks,
