i picked up 2 Chiricos in Singapore on a business trip. I havent found any yet from a US release.

Have any of you guys started developing stress-marks around where the 'Dog hands pop in and out? Specifically where the 2 studs that allow the wrist to angle pop in? Or indeed do you have a fool-proof mechanism for popping them in and out without worry? Why do i have a sinking feeling that i'll be contacting HLJ for new wrists....

i got a matsushiro valk. Was my prized toy when i was younger.... £10 from carrefour

Neova, many thanks for the reply. I re-read my post and i realised i wasnt even slightly clear (my fault, trying to say too much and failing ) - i meant the black neck bit when in fighter mode. This manifests itself as wobbling from side to side around the rotating pivot that connects through the nose/cockpit section - the hinge itself doesnt appear to be the issue. Maybe i'll be brave and have a look with a screwdriver..... gulp
-
Got mine for christmas.... problems are rubber seepage (know how to fix that, so that's cool) and the black plate that the head/neck sits on is wobbly where it connects/rotates to the back of the cockpit in fighter/ger mode. I havent got a digital camera, sorry. Its the bit at the top of BD6 from the diagram on page 4. Anybody able to tell me if this is tightenable? (thanks in advance if you can!)

this page here on robotjapan has some closeups... apologies if its already done the rounds

Anyone else anxious about the backpack hinge....? <<nervous laughter>>

Hi, i have searched the forums (with little success) and was wondering if an english translation of the 1/48 VF instructions (or indeed the 1/60s and the M+ valks) exists on this tucked away, or on any other sites that you know of.
All help gratefully received

Guys, with the greatest respect, the reasons newbies and relative newbies such as myself often get turned off by searching for the answers on the boards, is that the search function only identifies the thread - *then* you have to hunt through 300 smart-a$$ posts to get to the information which occurs at a frequency about 1 in 8 posts. I nearly posted this in the sticky which is just as bad, but i reconsidered. Just a thought, ignore me if you want.

Are you going to see Spielberg direct AvP...? No. Is Cameron coming back...? No. In order to see Avp on the big screen, it is not going to be an A list director. Similarly are you going to get a big name to front such a property given that its based on a cominc book / game? Unlikely. Rejoice in the fact that we got AvP on the big screen - and in my opinion it was entertaining and hopefully will do well enough to secure a sequel. If AvP 2 is an improvement, then even better - can i say X Men 2? Lets be glad it doesnt blow and look forward to the next one

im watching the ezdvd version as i write this (at work ) video / audio quality is massively better than other versions i have seen. I bought it as i was told it was the region 4 release of the animeigo. So far I certainly recommend it for £40 odd

future has different names in different countries - here in the UK its called Klear available from Tescos and Safeway to name but 2. Not at ASDA though! Go here http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html which is where some other kind soul pointed me in the direction of.

this may help - contact the courier company and ask that they get their security people to investigate the matter as it looks like one of their employees has tried to steal or tamper with the contents in transit. this always(!) gets the truth out of the guy who smashed the package and 9/10 times the company backs down and they reimburse costs on their own insurance. i have done this (both personally and with work) with UPS and TNT. i even got a new PC out of it once when they smashed mine in transit!!!

thanks for that. i was having the trouble with fighter and gerwalk mode. the leg pins are quite stiff and im going through newbie kid gloves mode so i dont want to force anything. havent had the legs are too loose problem yet, but im gonna go get some clear nail varnish for the groin piece pins.
-
Me again with another question. Ive just had an hour to get to grip with my 1/60 GBP with valk , and have just tried to transform into gerwalk and fighter mode - the problem i have is attaching the legs - yes i know about hook the back in then swing the front up, no probs with that, the issue i have is with the leg pins that would fit into the torso. Should they push each other out the way when on top of each other? This appears to put the joints under some stress. Or am i missing some basic thing like teh valk leg pins are longer on this version? i dont have another 1/60 to compare against unfortunately.
havent got a cam so cant take pics, im afraid. any help appreciated

Hi there im new to macross toys and new to these boards - i really like the looks of the 1/48 super vf-1j with fast pack that most of the online stores seem to have just restocked with (what can i say? i love complicated transformations) - but - having read through the 'what's wrong with my' thread there seem to be quite a few 1/48 horror stories. So my questions are:
Is it really such a gamble getting a yamato version given the prices?
(im in the UK so will have to ship and pay customs too. Money not really an object, but the idea of having to send off to HLJ to get the bits to fix something that should not have been broken in the 1st place seems more than a little off)
Do the 1/48 super sets (max, millia and hikaru) have the slotted nosecone? ( just wondering)
Would these recent restocks possibly incorporate fixes to the long-running issues that have been identified in the 'what's wrong with my' thread ?
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!
