Hi all,
I'm wondering if there is a current collection of Macross era figurines/models/toys around 2-3 inches (75mm) tall out there for sale?
The guys are getting back together to do a bit of tabletop RPGing and I'd love to have some miniatures on hand.
The mecha I'm thinking of include some Regults, Powerarmor, Destroids and VFs?
Am I 20yrs too late?
Can anyone recommend a retailer?

The Compendium still only has the Fighter Mode length of 18.69 m
Has anyone broken out their calipers and measured the Battroid and Gerwalk Dimensions on the VF-0 models?
Anyone willing to do this public service?
Cheers

My first Macross/Robotech moment was.... wow Rick Hunter looks like the navigator from Star Blazers!
I also can't remember Adama lining up a base star and charging up the main gun..... not that it wouldn't have been darn cool :-)

For those who haven't seen the trailer. The story looks like what a live actor macross story could be.
Imagine if those computer generated jets were valkyries...... sigh

Apologies if this is deemed off topic... but the trailer just screamed at the Macross fan in me.

Fresh after Transformers, Robotech came on. I caught the 2nd episode where the Zentraedi pops out of the downed battlepod and menaces Rick and Minmay stuck in Guardian/Gerwalk
Then Roy comes in and pops a cap!! Zentraedi falls down bullet holes and all.
Welcome to unamerican cartoon violence..... sigh

Heh, I can retcon this into the Lancer Space fighter for the.... other....... universe's RPG system.

Hi all,
I was wondering if the box art for the VF-0 toys or models or other semi-official sources has dimension data more descriptive than what is currently available at anime.net?
-
Yes, its kind of a paradox. I guess the VF-0 is older or contemporary in the Macross timeline. In reality the VF-0 was designed in the last couple of years for cutting edge CGI animation and the VF-1 was made in the 80's for cheap limited cell animation.
I'm not sure how the VF-0 could have been made to look retro.
'tis "Enterprise" syndrome.... the gadgets and effects look soo much better than Kirk and the 60s.
I'd love to see the last scene of Macross Zero show the CGI modeled VF-1 and the Macross as maybe a "whatever happened to Shin and Edgar (if he doesn't suffer from "Goose" syndrome) during Space War 1" bonus for the fans.

Is it a slow news Macross quarter?
Welcome to the MW Forums MechASsemble.
Slow new Macross quarter? I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to get across.
Egan Loo?
Heh... sorry... it was supposed to read "Slow Macross news quarter"
The webmaster of the Macross Compendium (Mr Loo) usually has some tidbits to add to the site every month or so.... 'tis been a long time between updates and as Graham said there was a lengthy illness involved.
Fingers crossed everything is peachy in Macross Compendium-land!
-
Actually, I'm a bit worried about Egan. It has been longer than normal since his last update.
He was supoposed to have an update in December, but then delayed it several times due to a lengthy illness.
At least back in early January, he was still updating the date for the next update, but even that has stopped.
I hope he is just busy with work or something and not still sick.
Graham
Yeah.. I still find myself checking the site every couple of days for the magical update. So I'm quietly hoping myself that it *is* a slow Macross news quarter.

Hey all,
How's Mr Egan Loo doing?
Is it a slow news Macross quarter?

Do you guys give any credence to the Macross 2: Deck Plans Vol 3 that came out for the Palladium RPG?
They had a full multi-layer map of the Macross that sorta jelled with the DRL version of Macross City.
That version had most of the city in the engine section in multiple layers. With an EVE skyline it would give the multiple layers the illusion of living under the same "sky"
I said the SAME THING nearly two posts earlier...
Whoops.... didn't read the last bit..
...sniff.... my first post.... it's a SHAM!!!!

Is the enemy valkyrie in the Next Ep teaser a known model?
